After going through a few mediocre battle skills, finally Li Feng came across a skill called "Blood Weapon Transformation Technique". This was one of the basic skill that was favourite for many practitioners of the blood path. This skill was not overly powerful but it was easy to learn and very versatile. So many blood demonic cultivators were very fond of this technique.
But that was not the reason why Li Feng was interested in this skill. He was interested in it because it was very similar to his "Blood Armament" skill. Practically they were almost similar in nature but the blood armament was a skill of higher quality. So if he could not find any skill that would be eligible for an ultimate upgradation card, this would be the skill that he would choose.
There were about 200 skills kept in this part of the scripture hall. There probably were stronger skills but they were kept in some different place where Li Feng did not have the eligibility to enter. Amongst the 200 skills, there were 5 which were eligible for being upgraded by an advenced upgradation card and none were eligible for an ultimate one.
Li Feng was sure that an advance card would also boost the power of a skill by quite a bit but as the skills mentioned in the Blood God Divine Scripture were already of the best quality, he did not see any reason why he should care about these skills which would be inferior to the skills from the Blood God Divine Scripture even after the upgradation. So he finally ended up choosing the Blood weapon transformation technique.
When he informed the spirit of the scripture hall about his decision, the jade slip he was holding in his hand lit up and the full content of the technique appeared in it. Actually previously the jade slips only had the introduction of the technique written inside for the disciples to get an idea about it. Only after they made their decision, the spirit of the scripture hall would make the whole technique available to them. After memorising the technique by putting the jade slip on his head, Li Feng left the Scripture hall.

After Li Feng left, the old man who was guarding the scripture hall suddenly moved a little. He still did not opened his eyes but he sent his divine sense to connect with the spirit of the scripture hall. After they were connected, he asked the scripture hall spirit about what technique that young boy had chosen.
This man not only had the duty to guard the scripture hall but also had to keep an eye on what kind of techniques the disciples were learning. There were some techniques which were special and highly dangerous. For example, there was a technique that was able to use blood to control someone's body. If a disciple chose to learn this type of techniques then the higher ups of the sect would keep an eye on that disciple.
But the Blood Weapon Transformation Technique was one of the most common techniques found in the scripture hall. It was easy to learn and many disciples knew about it. So this technique was not considered special. So after knowing that the last disciple had just learnt this simple technique, the old man did not think about that boy anymore and went back to resting silently again.

After coming out of the scripture hall, Li Feng did not returned home but went to the mission hall to accept the mining mission. After accepting he was told that an outer sect elder would accompany the disciples registered for this mission to the spirit stone mine and they would start their journey after two days. Li Feng was also given the location where he needed to gather to meet with the elder.
With two days of time in hand, Li Feng first went to the market to do some shopping. He and Yue were going to stay in the mine for quite some time, so it was important for them to prepare quite a few things.
Li Feng already had a list ready for the things he needed to buy and enough money with the help of his upgradation cards. So without any problem, he was able to complete his shopping. As he was not buying anything that he needed to hide, this time he did not use any disguise technique.
After he was done buying all the items in the list, Li Feng started to wander around the market to see if he could find something useful amongst the miscellaneous items sold by the shops. He was not really hoping to find something on which he could use an ultimate upgradation card but he was hoping to at least get a bit lucky and find something that could be upgraded with an advanced card.
Even after going through all the shops, he found nothing on which his advanced card could be used. Just as he was about to leave the market, his eyes fell on one of the most shabby looking shops. An old man was selling books related to various martial arts techniques in this shop.
The value of a martial artist was non existent in a cultivation sect. Even the strongest marital artist would not be able to match a first level cultivator. So no one in the whole sect was interest in the books being sold here.
But with just his simple glance, a notification had came before him that one item in this shop was eligible for his advanced upgradation card. That was why he became interested went to check what was that item was.
Obviously as to not raise any suspicion, he did not directly picked up the item. First Li Feng went through a few books and then picked up the item in question nonchalantly. The item was a book and even then, a few pages were missing from this book. After taking a simple glance, Li Feng saw that this book recorded a technique named "Turtle Breathing Mantra".
This Turtle Breathing Mantra allowed someone to hide their presence. From what Li Feng noticed from a simple glance, this technique would not be able to hide someone from the senses of a mid grade cultivator. But with Li Feng's advance upgradation card, he was sure that this technique would became more formidable in the future.
Actually currently Li Feng did not have a very sophisticated method to hide his presence. The Blood God Divine Scripture did have a powerful stealth technique but Li Feng would only be able to use that technique after reaching the foundation establishment realm. Currently the best method of hiding his presence available to him was actually Yue's "Phantom World".
So having the advanced version of this Turtle Breathing Mantra would be useful to Li Feng. After his foundation establishment, this technique would became useless but before that, it would be very useful to him.
So he immediately bought this technique alongside all five of the books he had went through before. The old man here was a third rank Qi gathering realm cultivator and he became extremely happy after Li Feng paid him quite a few blood stones.
Then he finally returned back to his home to get ready for the trip to the spirit stone mine.
