"I still remember when you were born; you were very beautiful. A little baby that I had in my arms. I am sure your mother would love to see you. She would be very happy for you on your wedding day. She always talked about how excited she was to have a daughter when she was pregnant with you. She always gushed about how she couldn't wait to see you."
Renna was reminiscing about the past; her gaze softened when she talked about it.
"Yeah, but I think she changed her mind after she gave birth to me. After all, she died." Hazel didn't mean it to sound sarcastic or dramatic. She just talked without thinking.
