"I don't need someone to accompany me." Hazel was annoyed beyond words. In passing, she had not yet shown, but if you paid close attention, you would see her little bum there.
"As your good sister-in-law. I need to accompany you because I care about you. You have never gone through a wedding before, so I can give you an input or two."
"Good sister-in-law, my ass," Hazel muttered under her breath. She gave her a look. "It's too late for an input. It's already the final check; there is no need for the input."
However, Laurel brushed it off. She walked around and acted like it was her wedding instead.
Hazel watched her, but she said nothing about it. She could tell something was bothering Laurel, but she didn't know what it was, nor did she want to know.
They were not close after all; she had no obligation to ask about her well-being.
