195. Vacation for Generals
Wrestling with this old Leviasaur gave me a clear measure of my current strength.
My strength now likely surpassed even the mightiest vampire lords of the Harmonization stage.
Now, let me show you what I'm truly capable of. Wiping the blood from my hands, I gazed downward.
… …
What kind of monster is this? The old Leviasaur was stunned—its full-strength tail swipe had been pushed back by a mere human. Never before had it underestimated the H.A.R.M. Generals of Cascadia, knowing that even after its breakthrough, formidable warriors like Aisha Patani and Albany Laurent still guarded the shore.
Not to mention the Seeker of Redeemer, the Admiral of Cascadia.
Its only goal was to kill Skyler Grant to repay the Vampire King for his precious medicine. Once that task was complete, it planned to remain in hiding in the Pacific.
But neither the Will Embodiment of Profound Ice Dragon nor the mighty Redeemed Spirit was as baffling as the scene unfolding before it.
Not only could this young man compete with it for control of the Strait of Georgia, but he also possessed overwhelming physical strength. Moreover, an aura from ancient bloodline emanating from him was strikingly similar to its own.
It was simply bizarre to the extreme.
The old Leviasaur bowed its head to observe Skyler Grant on the shore, then turned its silent gaze to the black-armored figure hovering in the sky.
Without supremacy over the waters, the Leviasaur was at a clear disadvantage. Its massive body moved far too slowly. It was like an elephant fighting a flying ant—except this ant possessed the same strength as the elephant.
For many years, it had managed to survive despite being under the watchful eye of the Cascadia Admiral.
Even after the deaths of many of its brethren, it had never once acted rashly.
Patience was its greatest strength.
What is the wolf Vampire King to me? Let him come to the Pacific himself if he dares to reclaim his precious elixir.
With this thought, the massive Leviasaur attempted to submerge beneath the water.
Suddenly, its vertical pupils constricted.
The black-armored figure, walking atop the ocean waves, vanished from sight in an instant.
In the next instant, searing pain erupted from the old Leviasaur's forehead.
… …
With a casual motion, I withdrew the silver halberd. Blood sprayed as I descended, delivering a fierce whip kick to the Leviasaur's jaw. The massive creature's head—as large as a small mountain peak—snapped back violently under the crushing force.
Gripping the halberd with both hands, I thrust its crescent-shaped blade viciously into the creature's neck.
Squelch!
Aided by the green light, the massive silver halberd cleaved through the Leviasaur like a hot knife through butter, carving a devastating path from neck to abdomen!
Blood gushed forth, turning the surface of the Strait of Georgia crimson.
Releasing my grip, I kicked the halberd's end. The mighty weapon shot through the Leviasaur's body like a launched arrow, accompanied by a thunderous boom.
Never before had the old Leviasaur endured such devastation. The searing pain ignited a fierce light in its eyes, and it snapped its massive jaws toward its own abdomen. But before it could strike, the target vanished once more.
When I reappeared, I was already behind it, reaching out to grab the silver halberd, and brought it crashing down onto its back!
"ROAR!!"
Under the devastating force, the old Leviasaur's enormous body crashed into the water's surface, unleashing a colossal wave.
Its body twitched violently as it summoned the ocean once more, commanding waves to surge toward me.
Drawing from its previous experience, the old Leviasaur harbored no illusions about harming this H.A.R.M. General with the crashing wave. Its only aim was to use the ocean's cover to retreat to the depths.
However, the surging waves swirled around me, forming a steady column that lifted me into the air like a water elevator.
Silently, I held the halberd aloft, my gaze fixed on the ocean's surface.
In an instant, an icy, violent wind swept across the sea, followed by a piercing, needle-like rain—Boreas Wind and Baleful Rain.
A bone-chilling cold seized the old Leviasaur, penetrating deep enough to freeze its crystal core. As the rain pelted its body, its black scales began to dissolve before its eyes.
A profound fear gripped its heart.
This fear stemmed not only from its physical pain, but also from the eerily familiar scene before it.
The scene was hauntingly familiar. Every technique this warrior used was one it had witnessed firsthand: the green light of Peacock Valley, the water control of the Leviasaur clan, and the Boreas Wind and Baleful Rain of the Nemean Lions!
These legendary blood gifts, renowned amongst vampires, were now all wielded by a single human vampire fighter.
"You demon!"
The old Leviasaur let out a mournful roar. Faced with the overwhelming Baleful Rain, it could no longer maintain its massive bestial form and was forced to transform into its vampire (human) form to flee.
The piercing roar echoed across the shore.
Countless H.A.R.M. officers stood transfixed, their eyes locked on the black-armored figure hovering in the sky.
Summoning wind and rain, gathering water into an elevator… they didn't even know what to think.
I strode across the ocean waves, standing in silent dominance as every aquatic creature in the sea lost all will to resist.
Meanwhile, in the distant village...
The widow and the madman stared wide-eyed at the terrifying spectacle unfolding on the ocean's surface. "Sea God..." they whispered.
To think she had just casually measured this guy with a ruler back then... who would have thought she had measured a true Sea God?
No wonder he had wanted the villagers to eat the flesh and blood of the sea vampire raw.
It turned out he had been punishing an imposter of himself.
Before everyone's watchful eyes, the young man in black armor hurled his halberd back to shore, where it landed firmly beside Skyler Grant.
… …
Like a gentle breeze, I swept across the water. Just as the old Leviasaur, now in human form, was about to slip beneath the waves, my saber flashed—a streak of dark ink slashing through the air—and severed his hideous head!
I extracted the Leviasaur's crystal core and collected his heart's blood.
[Slain a harmonizing Leviasaur, total lifespan 9233 years, remaining lifespan 2612 years, absorption complete]
After all of this, I casually tossed the Leviasaur toward the shoreline before he could even transform back into his bestial form.
Everyone remained transfixed, still processing what they had witnessed.
"Thank you for your help, General," I said, walking back to General Grant and Vernon Wells. I tossed the Leviasaur's head beside them and watched as it transformed back to its massive size—comparable to a small mountain peak.
I must say, Old General Grant had performed quite well. This old Leviasaur really hadn't gone anywhere else, which saved me a lot of time.
The Leviasaur's crystal core contained power that surpassed even the combined cultivation of the Nemean Lion brothers.
"Ah?" Skyler Grant and Vernon Wells looked at each other.
He was puzzled about how he had helped, considering he had been disarmed the moment the battle began.
"I have a question, though I'm not sure if I should ask it." Skyler Grant furrowed his brows, hesitating for a moment. "Are you truly a Sea God?"
"..."
I turned to him with a silent, incredulous stare.
Skyler Grant gritted his teeth and slapped his forehead hard. As a harmonizing warrior, how could he ask such a stupid question like a superstitious person?
It was mainly because the scene before him defied all logic and reason.
Even he, a seasoned general, couldn't begin to comprehend it.
Earlier, the old Leviasaur had let out a desperate cry of "demon!"
Even vampires themselves believed the young man possessed super human powers.
Vernon Wells could understand the old general's reaction perfectly. Unlike Grant, he regained his composure quickly.
After all, he had witnessed something similar before.
The only difference was that this time, a Leviasaur had taken the place of the fox vampire.
The only difference...
Vernon Wells suddenly realized the absurdity of his logic.
Could a fully crystallized fox vampire take the place of a fully harmonized Leviasaur?!
"So the Leviasaur is truly dead?" General Grant lowered his hand, disbelief flickering in his eyes.
Just five days.
His greatest concern of six hundred years now lay lifeless on the shore.
Did this mean that he could finally relax and go on a well-deserved vacation?
