"How are you feeling?" Noah asked.
He didn't know how Asgardian magical artifacts could affect humans. For instance, in the fourth Thor movie, Jane, using Mjolnir, transformed into the Mighty Thor, but it only worsened her cancer. This likely occurred because wielding the hammer demanded immense strength, and Jane's weakened body simply couldn't handle it.
Moreover, after each transformation, the divine power cleansed her body, purging it of foreign substances like chemotherapy drugs, but it didn't affect the cancer cells because they were part of her body, which led to the disease's progression.
Thinking about this, Noah focused on the arc reactor in Tony's chest and discovered that the shrapnel was still there. Apparently, the Destroyer armor didn't possess such cleansing power, or perhaps it was due to its incomplete state. But that wasn't important – the key was to understand whether such a transformation harmed the user. In the worst-case scenario, they might feel slightly weakened afterward.
"Never felt anything like it," Tony replied, recalling the recent events. Although the chime brought him inner peace, the memory of that power still evoked strong emotions.
"Oh right, what's that magical item you have?" He immediately noticed the small bell in Noah's hand. He assumed it was thanks to this bell that his neck had healed, and a strange calmness replaced the excitement. The trinket reminded him of magical artifacts from fairy tales.
"I just heard a ringing, and my neck suddenly stopped hurting. Did this little thing do that?"
"Yes, this is Mikael's Blessing. It heals wounds and brings peace," Noah replied, shaking the bell, producing the sound Tony had already memorized.
"Mikael... Mikael, the name suits it," Tony mused, remembering the feeling of tranquility. He hadn't felt anything like it since returning from captivity and becoming Iron Man.
After the fight, the dust clouds kicked up by their powerful blows began to dissipate. The surrounding landscape was unrecognizable: shattered rocks and fallen trees littered the area.
The loud sounds of their clash had sent animals scattering for miles. A battle between powerful beings always leaves its mark on the surrounding world, even unintentionally. It was for this reason that many would later come to dislike certain members of the Avengers.
But right now, Noah and Tony weren't thinking about that, as they were in a deserted area, and even if they leveled this place, no one would notice anytime soon.
"So, how are you feeling? The runic symbols on the armor have disappeared," Noah asked, putting the bell back into his inventory.
"After I heard the sound of your magical bell, I felt much better. Quite a useful thing," Tony replied. If he had the chance, he would have asked if Noah wanted to sell the bell, but he already knew the answer.
"By the way, runes? Do you know anything about those symbols that appeared on my armor?" Tony asked, realizing that it was these symbols that granted him that power. However, his knowledge of magic was rather limited, and fortunately, there was someone in front of him who understood these matters.
"I don't know much, but I can tell you a few things."
"But perhaps we should change locations. This place isn't exactly suitable for conversation," Noah said, gesturing to the scarred earth around them. Dust still hung in the air. He clearly wasn't in the mood for a conversation in such conditions.
"Um, okay, let's change locations. Besides, my reactor's energy is running low; if we stay longer, I might not make it back," Tony tapped the glowing blue circle on his chest. He definitely didn't want to carry the armor manually, especially since it would be impossible.
"How about we go to my place? I did promise to invite you over sometime," Tony offered.
"Alright," Noah agreed. He also wanted to see Iron Man's famous coastal villa, as it was one of the iconic locations in the Marvel world.
"Then let's go."
Both armors rose into the air, one after the other, and soon two sonic booms echoed through the sky.
...
"Welcome, sir."
"Hello, Mr. Noah."
Thanks to their supersonic flight, they quickly reached Tony's coastal villa. Tony landed on the rooftop helipad, and as soon as he touched down, mechanical arms emerged, beginning to remove his armor. Noah, hovering nearby, lightly touched his belt, and his armor automatically folded, returning to the nanomaterial storage compartment.
As soon as they descended from the roof, Noah heard a pleasant, slightly robotic male voice greet Stark and address him.
"Oh, Noah, this is Jarvis, my artificial intelligence," Tony introduced. Jarvis was the AI he created, named after his father's butler, Edwin Jarvis, to honor his memory.
"Hello, Jarvis," Noah replied, fully aware of the AI's existence.
After they removed their suits, Tony immediately led him to the underground laboratory. He was extremely interested in the workings of his new combat suit, as it had granted him immense power, allowing him to become even stronger in a world where more and more strange events were occurring.
Following Tony down the stairs, Noah carefully examined the villa. He had always been curious about what Iron Man's cliffside house looked like, especially since he himself had considered buying a seaside property – partly due to the influence of this famous villa.
Tony's villa was designed in a futuristic style: from its exterior to the interior decor, everything was imbued with the spirit of future technology. Looking around, he became increasingly convinced of Tony's wealth.
The villa was filled with luxurious and expensive furniture and decor, which immediately conveyed a sense of high style and status. He couldn't help but admit that Tony had excellent taste. His own house, including the furniture, had been left as it was when he purchased it, and now Noah was thinking that perhaps he should go back and redesign his home according to his preferences.
As they approached the laboratory, the glass doors automatically opened, controlled by Jarvis, and closed again once they were inside.
In the lab, Noah saw rows of Iron Man armor, from Mark II to Mark VI – all the suits Tony had created so far.
The Destroyer armor, which Tony had removed on the helipad, was now neatly placed in the laboratory. They approached the silver-black combat suit.
