"After you and that other guy, Thor, destroyed that metal monster, you went to a place called Asgard, right?" Tony stood in front of his armor, arms crossed, carefully inspecting it for any damage from the fight.
Satisfied that the armor remained intact even after such a fierce battle with Noah, he continued, "When you and Thor went to Asgard, I decided it would be wasteful to leave the Destroyer fragments with S.H.I.E.L.D. So I took the largest piece."
"I doubt Nick will have any complaints; otherwise, he would have demanded the fragments back by now," Tony added, turning to Noah, confident in his decision. In his opinion, it would be absurd to hand over such a unique alien metal to S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.
He then pressed a few buttons on the control panel and asked Jarvis to display the collected data on the screen.
"The metal this armor is made of is incredibly durable and possesses exceptionally high energy conductivity, far surpassing any known material on Earth," he said, enlarging the image on the screen and addressing Noah.
"This metal is called Uru, one of the rarest and most powerful metals in the universe. It has strong magical properties and is used to create powerful artifacts. Thor's hammer, for example, is forged from it," Noah explained, fully knowledgeable about the metal, which was well-known in the Marvel world.
"Oh, you know about this metal? So, the fragments I brought back are made of this Uru, and you're saying Thor's hammer is made of it too? Does that mean my armor is now an artifact as well?" Tony mused, recalling Thor's hammer, which could control lightning.
"Well, in a way, yes. Thor's hammer is enchanted to channel lightning, and the Destroyer is the armor of Odin himself, the king of the gods. After it was forged, Odin inscribed it with runic symbols, the same ones you saw on the armor. So yes, it's a kind of artifact," Noah replied, noticing the spark of interest in Tony's eyes, and continued, "But keep in mind, you only brought back fragments, not the complete artifact. Perhaps if you gather all the pieces of the Destroyer, you could restore the full armor."
Seeing Tony's enthusiasm growing, Noah decided to temper it slightly, "But remember, the Destroyer is Odin's possession. Who knows what will happen when he awakens? He might want his armor back."
Thinking it over, he concluded that the Destroyer armor shouldn't have simply granted Tony power. Perhaps it was with Odin's approval? He decided not to dwell too much on the old gods, as it would only lead to a headache. Dismissing these unnecessary thoughts, he touched the Destroyer armor.
As soon as his magic came into contact with the armor, the same mysterious runic symbols began to reappear on its surface, covering its entire form.
"These symbols are the runes," he stated.
"Legend has it that the god Odin hung from the world tree for nine days and nights, gaining the runes. Later, he exchanged his right eye for wisdom from Mimir, the god of wisdom, and combined this wisdom with the runes, creating the famous runic symbols," Tony said, examining the glowing signs.
"Oh, you're quite well-informed," Noah remarked with surprise. He himself only knew that the runes belonged to Odin but wasn't going to delve into the details of Norse mythology.
"Of course. As soon as I learned Asgard was real, I made a point of studying these myths," Tony said, watching as the runes gradually dimmed due to the lack of further magical sustenance.
Noah nodded, remembering something important, and addressed him, "Tony, you'll need to train your body more. Asgardian artifacts require a lot of energy to use. When you gather all the Destroyer fragments, this demand will become even more noticeable."
"Energy expenditure?" Tony was surprised. "I didn't feel any exhaustion when the runes disappeared."
"Did you forget about this?" Noah effortlessly extended his hand, in which the golden bell suddenly appeared. Mikael's Blessing not only healed Tony's injuries but also restored his strength, which is why he didn't feel any fatigue.
It dawned on Tony that he should incorporate training into his schedule.
"By the way, Tony, you don't have magical energy. How were you able to activate this armor?" Noah asked, as he sensed the armor was a magical artifact. Could his arc reactor really power it?
"I ran some tests and adjusted the reactor's output to the correct frequency and oscillations to mimic the required energy," Tony replied, not without pride in his ingenuity.
"I would never have thought that was possible," Noah admitted.
After that, he decided to help Tony understand the runes engraved on the armor's surface. Although he wasn't a rune expert, his recent magic lessons at Kamar-Taj gave him a basic understanding, and he was able to restore some of the magical lines.
When Tony melted down the Destroyer fragments to create his armor, it inevitably affected the original runes. So, he decided to fix them using his knowledge.
Tony watched with admiration as Noah's hands, surrounded by a magical aura, performed intricate movements, infusing the runes with energy.
"You're only sixteen, and you already know so much: both magic and science," Tony said in amazement. Although he always considered himself a genius, at sixteen he had only just graduated from MIT, and while that was an incredible achievement, next to Noah he felt like a schoolboy.
After all, Noah was not only a gifted scientist but also a powerful magic wielder. Tony couldn't understand how he managed to master so much – did he start learning in the womb?
"It's all talent," Noah replied with a smirk, adding to himself that the system was indeed doing its job. "If there's a chance, I'll take you to the place where I learned magic. I think you'll like it there."
In some parallel universes, Tony even became the Sorcerer Supreme. Perhaps bringing him to Kamar-Taj would lead to unexpected consequences.
"All done," he said, finally finishing his work with the runes. Although it wasn't his area of expertise, the task proved manageable.
"Excellent work, Noah! You've been a great help today. By the way, it's lunchtime. Stay and have lunch with me," Tony offered.
