"Well, I guess this is all to your liking?"
Tony Stark had always been an unconventional personality. While most billionaires preferred delicacies or lavish meat dishes, Tony had a weakness for "fast food" like burgers and pizza, which was considered rather odd for the wealthy.
After Noah helped him resolve a few minor issues with the armor, Stark invited him to lunch. Earlier, while descending to the lab, Noah had noticed that, apart from Tony himself, the mansion was empty. There were no servants, and cleaning was done only once a week. As for food, Tony usually ordered takeout or dined out.
On the table before him lay the food Tony had ordered – burgers, pizza, and other fast-food delights. Seeing the mountain of fried food, Noah wasn't surprised – Tony was already known for his love of such fare in the movies.
"If this isn't to your taste, some steaks will be delivered in a minute. It's M9 Wagyu beef from a famous restaurant. They don't usually do deliveries, but as soon as they found out who I was, they changed their minds."
Ding-dong!
"Oh, speak of the devil! They work fast."
Tony was about to start telling his guest how well-known his name was worldwide when the doorbell rang. Guessing it was the delivery, he headed for the door. The living room was close by, and he quickly reached it.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Stark. Here's your order – steaks."
When Tony opened the door, he saw a man in a formal black suit, clearly not a typical delivery person. He held a leather bag and was smiling, visibly excited by the encounter – obviously a fan of Iron Man.
"Mr. Stark, our boss asked me to tell you that we would be delighted to welcome you to our restaurant. We will provide you with the best service, and..."
"Okay, I get it, just put the food on the table. Thanks."
Not letting the man finish, Tony interrupted him and gestured towards the table. The delivery man, a little flustered, obediently placed the bag on the table and left without waiting for an autograph or further attention. The door closed in his face.
"Damn, I'm an idiot! The boss told me to tell him that, and I didn't even ask Iron Man for an autograph!" he regretted. Upon learning that Tony Stark himself had ordered steaks, he volunteered to deliver them personally to meet his idol. Now, having missed the chance, he started cursing his boss for the unnecessary instructions.
As for Tony, he paid no attention to the delivery man's disappointment. However, the offer to visit the restaurant might actually work: Stark wasn't picky about establishments, so he might remember this restaurant and visit it in the future.
"The steaks have arrived."
He opened the bag and took out the steaks, juicy and beautifully marbled. They looked very appetizing.
"I never would have thought the famous Tony Stark enjoyed this kind of food. If people find out, they'll be shocked," Noah said, picking up a knife and fork to try the steak. The taste was juicy and rich, but he thought the restaurant chef's culinary skills weren't quite up to Lissandra's level.
"I don't care what other people think. I do what I want. And cheeseburgers are delicious. Who would refuse them?" Tony said, taking a large bite of his favorite cheeseburger. The combination of juicy meat, vegetables, a soft bun, and melted cheese exploded on his taste buds, lifting his spirits.
After a couple of bites, he suddenly remembered something and asked Jarvis to turn on the TV. The black screen lit up, displaying the image he selected.
"That's right, we all agree that the individual operating in New York under the name 'Storm Swordsman' poses a serious threat. The government insists that he hand over his technology to the American authorities as soon as possible. This will allow the government to better protect its citizens, and then..."
A press conference was being broadcast on TV, where some government official was loudly proclaiming the need to control the Storm Swordsman, who, as few knew, was none other than Noah. The official spoke about the good of America, about protecting people – but his pompous words only elicited smirks from the journalists present. Everyone understood that more selfish motives lay hidden behind these words.
"These pesky politicians! Lately, they've been actively trying to pressure you through the media," Tony said with disdain, looking at the screen. "They want to get their hands on your technology under the guise of caring about world security, but in reality, they just want new weapons."
"Want me to help? I've had similar experiences," he offered.
"No need," Noah replied, shrugging. "Honestly, I didn't even know they were doing all this, and I don't care about their words. Unlike you, I haven't revealed my identity."
He didn't attach much importance to the opinions of these officials. To him, they were nothing more than annoying ants. However, ignoring their attacks indefinitely wouldn't be possible.
"When I get back, I'll deal with this problem," he added, still feeling some irritation from the constant attempts to tarnish his reputation.
He already had ideas on how to deal with this nuisance. With Lissandra's help, finding compromising information on each of these politicians wouldn't be difficult. Almost everyone who reached such heights had skeletons in their closet. And if that didn't work, he could always silence them permanently. He wasn't a saint, and he had no qualms about such methods.
"Good, the main thing is you have a plan. If you need help, just ask," Tony said.
During lunch, he asked Noah about Asgard. He was extremely intrigued by this mythical land and wanted to know what it was really like.
Noah confirmed that Asgard was indeed majestic, leaving a deep impression on him. He described Asgard's landscape – a flat planet, which sounded rather strange, but nevertheless existed in reality. He also spoke about their technology, which seemed quite peculiar, and he had many questions about how it developed.
Tony listened, burning with curiosity, and his desire to see Asgard with his own eyes only intensified after Noah's story.
Noah promised to take him along sometime. Besides, Thor had already acknowledged Tony as a friend, so a joint trip to Asgard was entirely possible.
"By the way, Tony, there's something that might interest you."
