Qualifiers Day. Thursday. May 13th
On Qualifiers Day, the team departed from their designated base at Carrico Performance Center for the fifth round of the season. The air was cool, maybe a bit chilly, and the sunless sky cast a mild, grayish hue over everything.
All five coach buses and seven trucks were lined up and ready to roll, though the trucks had taken a two-hour head start to ensure everything arrived at the circuit on time.
Luca stepped onto the bus, immediately feeling cosy and snug. Maybe it was the weather—the crisp air compelling him to bundle up.
He was wrapped in a thick windproof winter jacket, branded for Jackson Racing, with thick gloves, thick socks tucked inside his shoes, and a nose mask that warmed his face with each breath.
The Jackson Racing crew moved with quiet purpose, filing into their seats efficiently due to constant practice of doing this. All the buses filled up quickly, leaving little room to spare.
