This morning he had sent Tom a message saying he'd meet him tonight. Standing him up again would be inexcusable.
Jimmy drove away from the Anti-Terrorism Bureau and sent a message to that number, receiving a response quickly. He picked up two cups of coffee on the way and then returned home.
Soon, the doorbell rang. Jimmy opened the door and let the person in. Oh boy, Tom's makeup skills were getting more outrageous by the day. Now if Jimmy hadn't known it was him, he would have hesitated to let him in.
His hair was a mess, and he was dressed casually, but looked dirty, carrying a worn and tattered backpack. Tom might be getting on in years, but he usually had a smooth face. However, today, his forehead and corners of his eyes were wrinkled, making him look like a proper vagabond.
