Chapter 119 - Ch.119 Nine Tails?

As soon as Hayashi released his cursed energy, it instantly covered the entire Longyuan, including underground. Very quickly, Hayashi discovered something deep underground, at almost 200 meters deep, and close to 300 meters.

There was a small room at that depth, with a floor filled with runes, and quite a few talismans around. In the center of this room, a special-grade cursed object was floating.

This special-grade cursed object was very strange; it looked like a tail of something, pure white and flawless.

Hayashi instantly appeared in this room. The rune patterns and talismans in the room were meant to seal this tail, but they had no effect on outsiders. However, there was indeed a barrier outside, although it seemed to have weakened a bit, allowing Hayashi to enter smoothly.

"Who's there?"

Suka's eyes moved, sensing the fluctuation of cursed energy, which hadn't been there earlier, and now suddenly appeared.

He came to the wall by the door and checked. There was only a faint residue of cursed energy, very weak.

Before, when Hayashi hid here, he didn't reveal any cursed energy at all, possibly avoiding detection by others. But now, using the Time Flash, even though the duration was short, it was still sensed by someone sharp.

"Suka, did you find anything?" The one-eyed man followed to investigate.

"It seems like someone was here just now. No, someone was definitely here, and that guy's goal is very likely the Nine Tails!" Suka's face changed instantly.

"This is bad!" The one-eyed man's face also changed.

At this moment, Hayashi, having arrived in front of the cursed object, caught a whiff of a smell. It was somewhat musky, but this muskiness carried a scent that stimulated the secretion of hormones, almost intoxicating.

"What on earth is this curse?" Hayashi carefully observed, raising his hand to pick it up. The white tail was covered with dense blue runic imprints that kept flickering.

"It really looks like a fox's tail, but it's too small, isn't it?" Thinking of this, Hayashi suddenly recalled something: wasn't Shuten-Doji's gourd originally only thumb-sized? And after Shuten-Doji was resurrected, the gourd grew significantly.

Moreover, if this is a fox's tail, could it be the legendary Nine Tails?

But is there any difference between this Nine Tails and the one from Japan?

The one in Japan seems to be called Tamamo-no-Mae, also a Nine Tails.

The one here in China is also called the Nine Tails, but it's from Mount Qingqiu. Strictly speaking, Tamamo-no-Mae also came from China to Japan. They might not be the same fox, but they are both Nine Tails.

However, what is undoubtedly the same is that both are fictional cursed spirits.

Up to now, Hayashi has encountered two fictional cursed spirits. One was Shuten-Doji, and the other is this fox tail. If this fox tail is indeed from the Nine Tails, then it's a bit terrifying.

And maybe it was just his imagination, but Hayashi felt an incredibly terrifying aura from this tail, an aura he had only sensed once before, on Ryomen Sukuna. Not even Shuten-Doji had such an aura.

Perhaps Shuten-Doji hid his aura well, not letting Hayashi discover it, as that guy is also a fictional cursed spirit.

What earth-shattering secrets does this world hold?

If such legendary demons exist, could there be an even stronger will above these demons?

This had to be considered. Hayashi fell into a brief contemplation. The more he knew, the more awe and unease he felt toward this world. In this light, it seems that there are indeed too few jujutsu sorcerers, and they are too weak.

Who knows how many powerful curses are still in a dormant, sealed state? What would happen if those things were released and revived?

The consequences are unimaginable. But another question worth pondering is, who sealed these powerful curses in the first place?

Who had such great power, or was it success built on countless blood and bones?

All of this is unknown. Hayashi directly took this fox tail and decomposed it. Since this was a mirror world, the cursed object was only worth 50 points.

When he returns to the real world, he has to come back quickly to take this terrifying thing and decompose it. That would be the safest way.

After all, the people from the Longyuan are also looking for him. He doesn't mind helping out, as he's gained more benefits, including learning the Thunder Bagua and Brain Shield from Longyuan. He does feel somewhat indebted to them.

Thinking of this, Hayashi left the place directly, instantly appearing in the open area of the courtyard.

Just as he arrived here, Suka and the one-eyed man also reached this place.

The three of them met, briefly stunned, as Suka quickly drew the long sword from his back. The sword was originally only about a meter long, but after channeling cursed energy into it, the blade quickly extended like a puzzle, growing to over two meters, looking very intimidating.

"Your cursed tool is quite something, it can even change length?" Hayashi was in a good mood, willing to play with these people and test the level of jujutsu sorcerers in China.

In Japan, there are several special-grade jujutsu sorcerers, some of whom might still be unregistered or undisclosed. Naturally, China should have a fair number of special-grade jujutsu sorcerers too, being a populous and powerful country.

However, these two people before him didn't seem like special-grade jujutsu sorcerers, but their strength shouldn't be weak, Hayashi felt instinctively.

"Your mindset and focus seem different from others. Right now, you should first consider your own safety. Answer me, where did you go just now? What did you see? Why did you invade Longyuan?"

Suka's words were cold, seemingly emotionless, forming a stark contrast with his name.

He just couldn't figure out why Longyuan's barrier didn't stop Hayashi's invasion, and there was no warning either. It was very strange.

"You have so many questions, where should I start answering?" Hayashi actually had no intention of answering at all. What was there to talk about with people from the mirror world?

He was only trying to gauge the opponent's strength, to make an assessment in his mind.

"Then there's no need to speak." Suka seemed to lose patience, or perhaps he was afraid Hayashi would suddenly escape, so he launched an attack directly.

The long sword in his hand was already over two meters long, but even at this distance, it couldn't reach Hayashi. Still, he slashed down with it.

Hayashi felt that the long sword seemed to cross the distance, its original two-meter length suddenly reaching him. Yet, he was at least four meters away from Suka.

"A strange sword," Hayashi murmured. At this moment, the long sword had already arrived, and a light blue armor quickly appeared on Hayashi's body surface. Almost in the next moment, the long sword struck his arm, coming horizontally, seemingly aiming to bisect Hayashi at the waist.

This was indeed a killing blow, with no room for leniency. If it hit, there was no need to think, an ordinary jujutsu sorcerer would die instantly.

Hayashi didn't use his cursed energy output to block this strike. If he concentrated his cursed energy output around himself, he could form a strong barrier, similar in principle to the cursed energy armor, but different as well.

Cursed energy armor could block both physical and cursed energy attacks, whereas cursed energy output could only block physical attacks. Of course, if cursed energy was applied to a physical attack, the cursed energy output barrier would shatter directly.

Just like in the Juvenile Detention Center, when that four-armed green special-grade cursed spirit shattered his cursed energy output barrier.

However, whether it's cursed energy output or cursed energy armor, neither can block mental attacks, which is why Hayashi urgently needed to learn 'Brain Shield,' a specific jujutsu technique.

Therefore, Hayashi didn't need to learn something like 'Indestructible Diamond Body' jujutsu. Even though it sounds impressive, it really wasn't that useful to him, so there was no need to waste points on it.
