They walked side by side, making their way toward the teacher's office while their conversation drifted from one topic to another. Somewhere along the way, the discussion turned to anime, and to Kouhei's mild surprise, Hiyori seemed genuinely interested.
"Can you recommend me something?" she asked, her voice tinged with excitement.
Kouhei ran a hand through his hair, thinking for a moment before listing off a few titles. Hiyori's eyes practically sparkled.
"Oh! I've watched that one!" she exclaimed. "It was really good, but I was so sad when it ended."
Kouhei chuckled at her enthusiasm, but then Hiyori's expression softened slightly as she glanced at him.
"You know, Okumura-kun… I don't think we've ever talked this much before, have we?"
Kouhei blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the realization.
