"I want to talk to you about something," she said with a coy, knowing smile, her fingers curling around his wrist. With a gentle yet possessive tug, she drew him close and began to walk, leading the way as if he belonged solely to her.
Hiyori's gaze followed them in silence, her body unmoving. Something twisted painfully inside her chest. Watching Yui—without warning—snatch Kouhei away like that made her heart tighten like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand.
This wasn't a coincidence. Yui had done it deliberately.
Being a fallen angel, Yui possessed a peculiar attraction to the shadows of human emotion—especially those tainted by the seven deadly sins. She fed off of them, was drawn to them like a moth to flame. And right now, she was hoping to stir something dark within Hiyori. Out of curiosity, she turned back to glance at the girl's face, expecting a flicker of jealousy, maybe frustration.
But what she saw instead froze her in place.
