After talking a lot with Shiori, calming her down and helping her overcome her sadness, I end up having to hang up because "something" happened, and I needed to leave, but nothing really happened.
I just decided that I should go get the White Licorice and Goetia for myself since I ended up procrastinating a bit since they had already been obtained.
I flew out of Shiori's house to meet Kurumi, it was interesting to see Shiori's interaction with Kotori, Kotori really said things I didn't expect.
And Shiori did much better than I expected, she ended up acting like a "protagonist" and surpassed Kotori in the argument, but in the end, Kotori was only concerned about Shiori.
Shiori didn't notice, of course, since I made it happen that way, but Kotori didn't want to insult Shiori, she was just very harsh in her way of speaking, and of course, Shiori's dissatisfaction exploded.
In the end, humans are like that, if pressed too much, they will explode, and pressing others is something I know how to do just right to take advantage of it.
Shiori was taught by me for months specifically to have the type of mindset that I found most convenient, and she didn't stray too far from what was desired honestly, she is basically my ideal type of girl at the moment.
After some time of flying, I meet Kurumi, and we continue flying together to a location where the two weapons I asked Kurumi to steal, which are White Licorice and Goetia, are located.
Of course, I've already noticed that Kurumi is trying to use me, she already has everything I asked for, but she keeps lying and stalling to gain time, and furthermore, [Nightmare]'s activities have increased.
In other words, she is accumulating time for some secret thing she didn't warn me about, and I have no idea why, of course, I won't get involved in this yet since trying to get involved can cause problems.
"Hihihi, Aurelio-san, why are you looking at me like that?" Kurumi says as we enter a tunnel where she hid the things.
"I don't know? Maybe because you're doing things you shouldn't?" I respond with dissatisfaction. Kurumi often strays from what's expected in most of her actions, she's only not more unpredictable because I know what she wants.
"Hmmmm, are you afraid of something, Aurelio-san? Those who are not afraid shouldn't" She speaks in an almost insulting way.
"..."
"You're right, and those who are not traitors don't need extra preparations against allies." I return the favor, leaving her briefly silent.
"..."
"Aurelio-san, your trust in me is amusing, hihihi," she laughs at what I say, but she clearly doesn't find any humor in what I said.
We remain silent as we arrive at a large room where the two things I requested are.
"Where are the construction plans for both?" I didn't just ask her to pick up these two things, I also asked for the plans.
"Here they are," one of Kurumi's clones appears holding two briefcases.
"Aurelio-san, what will you do with..." Kurumi was going to ask me curiously, but I destroy the two briefcases with my demon king, they are just papers I don't need at all.
"..." I analyzed the papers and know exactly what was written, but Kurumi doesn't know that, so to her, I just destroyed both without reason.
"You know, it was quite difficult to steal this, but you didn't even try to look... Can I consider that you trust my work?" Kurumi says with a smile.
"Is there 3 missing pages from the Goetia because you hid them from me?" I question her while tightening the grip on my demon king, there are 3 pages related to the Goetia's power source and its use.
"...I...don't know what you're talking about, Aurelio-san," she seems briefly shocked that I discovered this without even looking at the briefcase, but she then disguises it perfectly.
'...'
"Of course." It's obvious she won't easily give me useful things, in the end, an alliance like ours is not based on trust, but on the usefulness of one another.
'Why would she hide information about the Goetia's power source?' If she's a DEM ship, she should supposedly use the same energy as other ships, but if Kurumi hid this, it's because she has an extra.
"Can I use it?" I ask looking at Kurumi.
"Of course, it's yours," she says as her clone disappears. I go to the ship and quickly find the entrance, invading the ship to see how it works while I start analyzing the entire structure of the ship.
'This is impressive...' I can't easily analyze it, so it takes a while, but the analysis of some parts proves incredible, whoever invented this ship did a 10/10 job.
Using the knowledge I analyzed, I try to activate the ship, but it doesn't work.
"..."
"...Nothing...again, nothing." I keep trying, whether it's activating the emergency protocol, automatic mode, or manual mode, but nothing works, it's a bit frustrating since I'm doing it perfectly.
'The power source?...' I try to use my Reiryoku, but it doesn't serve as energy for the Goetia, and even if I try to use electricity, it doesn't work either, and any form of energy I can think of doesn't seem to fit the ship.
"...I'll break it." My decision is to break the Goetia. It's an incredible ship, and I'd love to use it and see its uses as well as its incredible speed shown in the anime.
But since I can't use it without energy, it's better to break it, after all, I don't trust that it won't be stolen from me by someone, especially Kurumi stealing it just to cause me problems.
I leave the ship completely dissatisfied while I go to the White Licorice, I start analyzing the White Licorice, but I have no interest in piloting a defective combat gear.
"Hahahaha," Kurumi laughs at my dissatisfied face.
"Did you suck on a lemon, Aurelio-san?" She says in a mocking way, but at this moment, I finish analyzing both equipment, acquiring everything I need from both.
"You did an incomplete job, Kurumi, I should judge that your next payment will be cut in half due to your incompetence, so when I kill Nia Honjo, I won't give you her Sephira."
"W-What! That wasn't the deal!!" Kurumi says angrily, but I soon point my demon king at Kurumi.
"You stole 3 papers regarding the Goetia's operation, which made the ship a useless scrap, I'm letting that slide, but I'll charge for it, if you don't want to be my enemy right here and now, you'd better be careful with your antics."
"..."
"Tsk," she clicks her tongue, but decides to give in this time. In the end, I'm a more useful ally and a problematic enemy that's not worth the trouble.
This will teach her not to step out of line again. If she had given me the right things from the start, there wouldn't have been such an incredibly high reduction, and moreover, if she accepted such a thing, it means what she hid from me is important.
The Goetia's power source has such a high level of importance that Kurumi decided to risk my wrath just so I wouldn't get that information, and this only makes me more tempted to know about the Goetia.
But now this incredible ship will be the end. At least Ellen will never be able to use the Goetia again, and without the original project, rebuilding it will be quite difficult. Of course, the possibility of a copy existing is real, but quite low.
After all, projects like this usually don't have copies, precisely to prevent the information from leaking, and if there is one, I guess Kurumi at least managed to destroy it.
"Kurumi, take me to Nia Honjo, stop stalling." I have to get rid of her soon, and Kurumi keeps stalling, which takes a bit of my patience.
"Alright, alright, you cheapskate, you ask for too much," Kurumi says unhappily as she goes outside. Using my demon king and a Reiryoku attack, I destroy the White Licorice and Goetia, I've already gathered the maximum information from both.
'Kurumi is probably accumulating time to betray me...' This alliance will soon fall apart.
And although I can't use the Goetia, I obtained information on how it made those incredible movements in the anime.
Of course, I tried to use the reversal to use the Goetia, but it has a complex system without complete connection between the power source and the ship's control, and since I'm limited to applying one reversal at a time, there was nothing I could do.
And I could even use it if I applied a reversal and left it permanent, but it would take so long that the world would probably have already ended, so it's better to just destroy it.
At least it wasn't a complete fiasco, I just need to pay more attention to Kurumi and her way of acting, it's obvious that Kurumi doesn't want me to get much stronger than I am.
Since if that happens, Kurumi may lose her usefulness, and she knows I'll drop her as soon as her usefulness ends.
In the end, she's smart and is taking precautions before losing her usefulness, just as she's trying her best to extend this alliance.
Now all that remains is to see how things will unfold in the future.
