In the end, Luna had taken Leon on a tour through the entire town. As the day wore on, Leon began to grow visibly frustrated.
"Luna," he finally said, stopping in his tracks, "no matter what you do... I can never regain those memories."
"What do you mean?" she asked, tilting her head, concern in her eyes.
Leon hesitated, then tried to come up with a good excuse—one that could explain everything without raising too many questions.
"It's because… I used my memories as a sacrifice to defeat the demon," he said at last.
Luna blinked, surprised. "Haah… you should've just said that from the start. We wasted an entire day!" she sighed, slightly annoyed.
But then she chuckled, looking away as a small smile formed on her lips. 'Hehe… at least I can think of it as a date now,' she thought to herself.
Leon smiled faintly as he led her back, neither of them speaking the thought that lingered in both their hearts.
