To my greatest surprise, Ciara wasn't at home. It was Riley I met on the couch, and her face lit up with delight when she saw me. 


"Hello, Handsome," she purred, standing up and walking over to me.


"Where's Ciara?" I snapped. She stopped walking towards me and frowned.


"I don't know. She went out a few minutes ago. I thought she was going to come and see you," she responded. 


So Ciara wasn't home yet. She ought to be. Where in earth did she run to this time?


And I knew better than to start searching for her. If she didn't want to be found, she would not be.


Besides, my gut instincts kept telling me that she wasn't that far, that she was going to come home very soon. 


So I decided to stay put and deal with Riley once and for all.
