CIARA
Camelia and her friends became one of my best customers. They came day after day, as soon as school was closed.
Before long, I observed and knew what the favourites of each of them was, and they didn't need to order before I served them.
I had never felt such happiness, such fulfilment before. A lot of people became slowly familiar to me too. It was nice, standing behind the counter and watching people eat.
The location of the building seemed to be a great factor in pulling people in too. I had my morning crowd, the afternoon crowd, and passers by who just happened to walk past at the moment.
I loved it so much I could not think about something else. And one day, when there was a lull between the unending stream of customers, my phone started to ring.
A small part of me thought it was Noah, which made my heart raced as I dug my hands into my handbag to search for the phone.
