I bounded down the stairs, my hair flying wildly behind me. My brother looked up as I did a sharp turn into the kitchen, and he raised his eyebrows at me. 


"Easy there, woman," he called out to me before he turned his attention back to the pancakes he was making. 


I stalked towards the refrigerator, trying not to run in the kitchen so as not to make a mess. 


Jeremy was going to kill me if I did as much as mess up his mixture.


I opened the refrigerator and grabbed a bottle of water along with a juice box, throwing both into my hand bag before I started walking out of the kitchen. 


"No breakfast today?" Jeremy asked. I shook my head at him.


"I'm already late enough as it is. Your pancakes smells amazing, but I'm going to have to pass."
