It took me three hundred and sixty six days for me to be able to reach out to Ciara again.
It had been a very long year.
Long and bleak, the lowest point I had even encountered in my life.
When I told Riley to post the video, I had been prepared to lose everything. I figured that I had nothing else to lose, and she might as well just ruin me once and for all.
Maybe because she had been expecting me to beg or plead with her, but Riley was taken aback by my words.
She had stared at me for a long moment, ignoring Marcus and the glances he was throwing in her direction.
I did not try to act or look tough. I let her see the devastation her actions had caused, and how much it killed me. I let her see all the pain and heartbreak, how deep and unending the well was.
I let her see everything, because there was no point in using words. There was no point in hiding either.
