"Are you sure you're not coming with me? Everyone's going to be there," Angel said to Nadia.
"No, I can't," she smiled weakly. "I never liked these events anyway. Besides, I don't want to make things awkward for Ares."
"Are you going to live in the shadows forever then?" She asked, feeling really concerned for Nadia.
Nadia smiled almost painfully. "Just have fun, okay? I'll take you to the room, but you'll have to go in by yourself."
"Fine," Angel sighed, as she straightened to her full height.
Her eyes scanned her reflection in the big mirror, and she was surprised to see that outside of the slight added weight childbirth gifted her, she looked almost the same way she used to.
"I can't believe the blonde is really back," she said.
"And you look stunning. Everyone is going to be in awe of you tonight," Nadia praised with love in her eyes as she stared at Angel.
"We'll see."
