Ares changed his mind, and went after Angel.
As he turned the corner, he saw her going into the room she shared with her daughter, and followed her.
Just as the door was about to close behind her, he stopped it, and walked in.
"I get why you feel the way you do. I understand if you never want to put yourself in a situation that requires you having nothing to do with me. But before any of this happens, we have a daughter to find. We have a lot of unanswered questions. Tony clearly knows more than I ever gave him credit for. He's here tonight and it's all because of you. So could you soberly reflect on another time, and let's end tonight with new knowledge that would help us in whatever we do next?" He asked the second he walked in.
Angel's shocked face, which slowly returned to normal the more he spoke, finally relaxed.
"You're right. I'll come back. I just need to be alone for a little while," she insisted.
"I understand that. But promise you'll come back."
