Naruto POV:
Mr anbu knocked, and an elderly voice told us to come inside. We stepped inside, and the room was full of old people. Hiruzen, Danzo and the advisors. They're probably setting up some scheme, I'll need to be careful.
Mr anbu got on one knee, "Good day elders. I have brought Naruto Uzumaki as instructed." Ugh, am I gonna have to bow too? I don't mind bowing my head, but getting on knees is a no-go.
"Thank you, you're dismissed vulture."
Hiruzen spoke up and sent the anbu away, who nodded and flickered out of the room. An awkward silence enveloped us before Hiruzen spoke up," How have you been, Naruto?" I raised an eyebrow, but it was clear the old man had something up his sleeve.
"It's been alright? Old man, what did you actually call me for? If it was just about my wellbeing, the elders wouldn't have been here".
Hiruzen chuckled, "As expected." He was testing me, huh? Danzo then spoke up, his voice as slimy as it was on TV," Naruto Uzumaki, I am Danzo Shimura, I am a village elder and part of the reason Hiruzen called you" eh, can't say I didn't expect that, probably something to do with root and the anbu.
"Is that so? I apologise for my impudence, but why? I'm certain I'm not that important."
'Don't be like that naru-chan, you're the most important person there is~' she can somehow communicate with me through my thoughts, she constantly teases me, though.
Hiruzen chuckled, "Perceptive as always, well, both me and Danzo both have propositions for you."
'Fufufu~this is a chance to exploit them, naru.' That's true, you're really conniving, y'know? 'It's part of my charm, love♡'
I mentally sighed as I blocked out her teasing, "Please elaborate, old man."

Danzo POV:
This is the jinchuriki? He's definitely above expectations, he seems more competent. He also managed to somewhat gauge our intentions. He's interesting, my decision isn't wrong.
"Let me train you, Naruto."
He's the future of Konoha.

Naruto POV:
...Eh? It should've been obvious, Danzo and all the people in this world aren't some drawings, they can have their own thoughts and feelings and can change, still don't trust him.
"That's your proposal, Mr Shimura? What's yours then, old man?" I inclined my head to Hiruzen. He smiled before he began, "I want you to join the anbu. You're already above the level of the three-man cells, I believe what you require most is experience."
Ughhhh, I guess that's true. I'll have to weigh the pro and cons of both my options. Hiruzens offers the chance to gain valuable experience and money from the missions, but Danzo's is a way better long-term investment….if he doesn't try anything, that is. But he seems to have a good opinion of me, I could also better my reputation by learning under him, there are definitely some benefits to being known as the student of an elder..... What do think, nine tails, bura?
