Claire picked up the energy cubes made by Evan and examined them closely.

She even released all her Pokémon and allowed them to enjoy the cubes.

After witnessing it firsthand, she finally believed in Evan's capabilities.

He was indeed a master breeder.

This time, Violet wasn't lying to her.

Violet, who had a history of deceit, had lied to Claire many times, making her wary of trusting her words.

But this time, it turned out to be true?

She thought, Let's invite her to dinner and share some soy-sauce salted duck this evening~!

Claire considered this while observing the energy cubes.

At the same time, she noticed her Pokémon enjoying the cubes Evan had made.

Seeing this, Claire made up her mind.

"Brother Evan, let's discuss the price."

"How much would a month's supply cost?"

"Can I get a discount?"

"Could it be cheaper?"

She didn't even wait to hear the price before requesting a discount, showing no hesitation.

Her directness left Evan a little bewildered.

"It's impossible to get a discount. It's not happening in this lifetime," Evan replied plainly.

"The top-quality energy cubes are 600,000 pokédollars a month."

"For Dragon-types, it's 1,000,000 pokédollars."

"The price is already quite reasonable."

"If you need it, I'll prepare it for you now."

"You can pick them up the day after tomorrow, or even tomorrow afternoon if it's just one type."

A discount? Did she want a miracle?

Though Claire was beautiful and charming, Evan remained firm.

Absolutely no discounts.

When Claire heard the price, she touched her chin thoughtfully.

"Hmm, the price is fair," she admitted. "But can't you really lower it?"

"I was hoping to save enough for a new handbag."

Claire felt it was worth trying to negotiate.

After all, a bit of savings here and there would help. Despite being well-off, she believed in being frugal whenever possible.

Evan stared at her expressionlessly.

By now, Claire was at her wit's end.

Why was Evan so unaffected? Didn't her cuteness or beauty sway him at all?

Wasn't this the moment a discount was supposed to be offered, just for her charm?

"This is so disappointing~~!"

"I didn't expect you, Brother Evan, to be this stubborn about a discount."

"Oh," she sighed dramatically.

Finally, realizing there was no alternative, she gave up.

With a resigned sigh, Claire pulled out her bank card.

"Fine. Swipe the card."

"You're such a cheapskate!"

Evan looked at the card she presented.

He couldn't help but twitch the corners of his mouth.

That card—it was a Mega VIP card, exclusive to the bank's most elite customers.

"You have this kind of card, and yet you're asking me for a discount?"

"Outrageous!" Claire declared confidently.

"Of course, I'd be thrilled to get a discount, okay?"

"But now, Brother Evan, since you're not giving me one, I'm genuinely heartbroken."

"Brother Evan, you're truly guilty of making a young girl sad~~!"

"You must not have a girlfriend."

"You don't understand a girl's heart at all."

Listening to Claire's melodramatic antics, Evan felt a wave of exasperation.

Is this how she really is?

"We just met—we don't know each other that well yet!" Evan snapped, trying to keep his patience. "Miss Claire, please be serious."

He couldn't stand it any longer. What a dramatic little fairy.

"Ouch~~!" Claire gasped in mock hurt. "I thought of you as a close friend, and now you're telling me we're not even familiar with each other?"

"How sad!" she wailed, wiping imaginary tears from her eyes before fixing him with a pitiful look.

"Please, little brother Evan," she pleaded sweetly. "Can't you just consider me your best friend?"

"And then… maybe give me a discount?"

Evan stared at her expressionlessly before grabbing the credit card machine from the side.

"Thank you," he said curtly. "That'll be 3.6 million pokédollars."

Claire sighed dramatically, realizing none of her moves had any effect. Her lips curled in defeat as she stopped pretending.

This guy really is insufferable, she thought, annoyed. Does he seriously not have a girlfriend?

After swiping her card, she said, "Stingy little brother Evan, please customize some Fairy-type energy cubes based on my Pokémon's sleeping and waking schedules."

"I'm very satisfied with your energy cubes," she added grudgingly. "I'll come again next time."

Handing over the payment, she turned to Evan and said firmly, "But I'm serious about getting a discount."

This wasn't just a request anymore—it had become Claire's obsession.

It seemed Evan had no choice but to give Claire a "discount" next time.

"Definitely next time," he replied with a faint smile.

Once the payment was received, the new order was officially set. Evan quickly took out a contract to settle the details.

When Claire saw the contract, she realized she had been too careless.

How could I give him the money first without checking? Blood loss, blood loss!

Evan began explaining the details while writing on the contract.

"These energy cubes are customized according to your Pokémon's attributes."

"Ice Ninetales is Ice + Fairy."

"Sylveon is pure Fairy, focusing on increasing physical strength."

"For Florges, it's pure Fairy as well."

"Togekiss is Flying + Fairy."

"Gardevoir has the same attributes as my Gardevoir. You can either take those now or wait until tomorrow; I have some in stock."

"For Audino, it's Normal + Fairy."

"The delivery date will be three days from now," he added. "The varied types require a bit more time."

"Check over everything and sign if there's no problem."

Claire reviewed the contract briefly as Evan handed it over. She nodded decisively.

"No problem," she said confidently. "I trust you."

With that, she signed her name, solidifying the deal.

Evan carefully folded and secured the contract before looking back at her.

"Wait here for a moment; I'll start preparing your order."

"You can explore the backyard or check out the breeding house while you wait," he offered. "If anything comes up, just let me know."

Satisfied, Evan turned to begin his work.

But before he could fully step away, Claire blocked his path.

"Wait, don't be in such a rush!" she said quickly.

"Let's share our thoughts on Psychic Pokémon for a bit."

"It's not every day you meet someone with similar expertise," she added with a mischievous glint in her eye.

She seemed eager for a spirited discussion.
