Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: 27 Years

The Worker looked confused and looked back at his lord slowly answering.

"It is when two different monsters exchange magical residue that emits off them where then both energies come together forming an egg."

"I see."

I actually didn't until I was given the talk about sex and other things around the topic which would come several years into the future.

But then before I knew it I awoke back to the real world again.

Once awake I walked to my drawer and grabbed my ragged clothes and got dressed and followed my morning schedule walking to school.

Currently I was in elementary school due to some learning difficulties like dyslexia and ADHD.

And to follow my given schedule I had to walk to school. Which thankfully from my home was five minutes away by walk.

My mother was indeed a drunk however she still provided me with what I needed like school. Which at the time I didn't see until it was too late.

As I walked and shortly arrived the details from the nights before with my visits to the "Dream World" caused a mental dilemma that continued to grow increasingly.

However I still maimed my coarse and soon time began to shift and I was thirty five years old in the year 2024.

And guess what I went back to that "World" every night I fell asleep further developing it seeing more monsters and everything.

Unlike back then when I was eight I had something now a family more important than anything I've ever felt for them.

Funny. How life plays tricks on some.

I say this because my life is flashing before me with weird figures pushing me forward or at least I think so.

My eyes keep blinking and my soul feels like it's being drawn away from myself and then I slowly lost consciousness only to be brought back to my "Dream World."

"Welcome back my lord!"

I awake in my throne and see an old friend who was from the book I gained from my first visit here detailing all the monsters I call my Atlas and with it I knew the race of this monster being the Royal Magus. Who I've named Marnie.

The Royal Magus is a mysterious figure draped in violet and gold robes, her presence both regal and commanding. Three glowing eyes orbit her, each with a unique purpose: one sees distant lands, another glimpses the near future, and the last unveils hidden truths.

Her gnarled staff, crowned with a swirling green orb, pulses with immense magical energy, an extension of her will. Beneath her hood lies a serene face, her calm gaze piercing and knowing. Wise and enigmatic, the Royal Magus is the kingdom's protector, her very presence a blend of power and mystery.

"Hello Marnie. How are you?"

Marnie looked at Me and with her third eye I could tell she was sensing something from me.

"Oh I'm not feeling too well but I believe I'll be able to stay here longer than how I usually do."

After sensing the truth from her second eye Marnie was gleeful and said with excitement.

"That's excellent news my lord I will contact the Workers and have a celebration set up for you!"

With that Marnie swayed her staff and disappeared likely to report to the Workers.

As she left I took the cue and fell on the ground hasting my breath trying to retake it as my image was hard to uphold.

Slowly but surely my air returned and in enough time to as I was seeing walls and other things move in places they shouldn't be.

The other reason was because I stood up in enough time fixing my cloak that had appeared on me every time I arrived here.

And stood with a strong pose taking another breath sitting down back onto my throne where then someone opened my chamber doors.

Along the walls had several portraits of me as I slowly aged I personally didn't like it and wanted to change it but Marnie was strongly against it as she said it boosted my loyalty factor for my servants.

But the other thing besides the painting was the glass selling that was installed the moment I arrived here giving me plenty of sunlight.

The monster that first entered was a hulking brute who had the body of a polar bear and the other was a ghost like being with a long phantasmal sword.

Voytek is a grizzled, battle-scarred bear clad in a military officer's uniform, complete with a weathered trench coat and a fur-lined cap. His powerful frame is reinforced with mechanical gauntlets and shields, built from salvaged armor, bearing faded insignias of past campaigns. His eyes burn with a mix of anger and sorrow, a reflection of the battles he's endured and the comrades he's lost. Every step he takes exudes strength and purpose, the mark of a soldier who has faced the horrors of war and survived.

Once Voytek made way into the room Ra'Zhul showed his spectral form.

Ra'Zhul is a sinister and imposing figure, draped in tattered black robes that swirl with dark energy. His skeletal visage glows faintly with an eerie green light, and his hollow, glowing eyes seem to pierce through to the soul. In his bony hands, he wields a staff crowned with a pulsating crystal, radiating necrotic power. Shadows coil around him like living entities, whispering the secrets of the underworld.

Once both entered the room Votek kneeled on a knee while Ra'Zhul without a corporal body placed his left hand over his chest and bowed down.

"What brings you both here? I believe my yearly champion tournament hasn't begun yet?"

Both Votek and Ra'Zhul exchanged glances at each other comprehending my words as all monster know of my tournament.

Once a year I will host a tournament to decide my yearly generals with the second place making him my vice general.

After that Votek spoke first as my head General with a gruff and commanding accent emitting Russian eminence.

"No lord. We've come with reports from the Nimbus Legion dictating that.."

Votek began to drag on not finishing his sentence making myself stare harder at him. Thankfully before I spoke Ra'Zhul answered my unsaid query.

"Land…"

A raspy whisper both entered and exited the room leaving me with goosebumps.

"Land?"

I couldn't help but question. Several years ago I established several divisions including the Nimbus Legion and designating captains to said divisions but for several years the only land that was possible was the flying archipelago I'm stuck on.

As I thought about the current situation Marnie reappeared seeing both new parties and spoke.

"Master the Preparations are complete for your stay."

At the sudden voicing of 'Stay' both Ra'Zhul and Votek looked up at Me and saw my smile.

Both parties at first were surprised and shared a small hidden look with each other and Votek voiced his query.

"Lord are you staying?"

I look away from Marnie and look Votek in the eyes and smile giving him my answer both generals didn't show it but they exhumed pride at my answer and shortly left after I was taken away by Marnie to get dressed.

In my room was only in a word glamorous the Workers who out did themselves making this in record time making me the finest furniture and clothing all had the same design of insignias but the cloaks were in different colors.
