Chapter 37 - Count Dracula

The Amicable Age. This era occurred 30,000 years ago and lasted for 10,000 years after the world was created. This is the age where races were neutral with one another, except for the Orcs. Humans respected other mortal races, and so did the Elohim, who were benevolent entities that cherished mortal life.

It all started after the formation of Midgard. Humans were said to be created from the elements of stars, and the minerals of Tellus; the Earthbound planet. The Human race were curious creatures at first, learning how to hunt, gather food, and create shelters. Their adaptability was incredible, surpassing the expectations of the Elohim.

But over time, other primeval races took advantage of human naivety, like the Orcs. These narcissistic, power-hungry creatures decided to enslave humanity, claiming they'd be rewarded with unmatched strength if they followed their commands. Thus, humans built entire villages for the Orcs, including the statues of their Orc King, Onabula Spearhead, one of the most fearsome rulers of Midgard during the Amicable Age.

Onabula took what he wanted, and killed all that stood in his way; his crimes are equal to that of the infamous Genghis Khan. Millions across Midgard feared this tyrannical King for his mastery over magic, and his all-powerful army of Orcs that could slay an entire battalion of Dragons.

After many years of serving under King Onabula, humans have grown to realize that the Orcs were only using them as a means to an end. They were treated like trash, beaten like rodents, and barely given any food. The human population was on the verge of extinction, until one powerful man rose up, and decided to fight back.

He had no name; being born into the world as a slave to the Orcs, but his rebellion towards them ignited a fire in the heart of humanity. Tired of being treated as slaves, humanity banded together and United with the Dragons in the Basilisk Mountains, before doing the same with every other race across Tellus.

Together, all of Midgard joined forces and rebelled against Onabula and his army. This war was known as the War of Unity; one of the most well-known wars across Midgard. Everyone managed to defeat Onabula Spearhead and his army, thus, destroying his villages and statues before rebuilding them in their image. The Orcs went into hiding after this war, usually shown among bandits and other criminal groups ever since.

After the War of Unity, humans learned magic from the elves, and together, they rebuilt all of Tellus in their image. After learning of magic and its concept, mankind would then teach the dragons about sorcery, and then other races across Midgard.

Beastmen, Werewolves, Gnomes, and many other races of Midgard learned of the arcane, thanks to the elves and the kindness of humanity. All of Midgard was united for thousands of years, living in an era of peace, until the Mystical Age began.

On the very first day of this era, an event known as the Day of Ruin befell mankind. A powerful Witch by the name of Agnes Gravenworth would corrupt humanity by bringing out the hatred in their hearts that they've kept bottled up in their past generations during Onabula.

All of mankind turned on each other, hating one another for their skin color, or envying other people for their power and riches; creating jealousy, egos, and pride. This shocked the inhabitants of Midgard as it confused them about why such a peaceful race would become a danger to all of Tellus.

With evil plaguing mankind's heart, they eventually caused wars across Tellus; similar to the orcs in the Amicable Age. Divisions continued to spread, and eventually, other races got involved. Dragons tried stopping humanity and their forces, but there were too many. Mankind slaughtered the dragons, and showed no mercy, even though they were once allies.

The Elves, Dragons, and other minorities in Midgard would see the horrors of humankind, witnessing their wars, racism, and evil. Some speculate that this was the cause of evolution, but little did they know, the truth was hidden from their eyes. Dragons worked together with the elven race to stop mankind's rampage, initiating a war called the War of Rebellion; where the Dragon and Elves fought a large population of humanity, eventually causing the Elohim to get involved, and flood all of Tellus, drowning the entire world underwater.

During this flood, Jormungandr protected the Dragon and elven race of Midgard while the massive tidal wave wiped out 90% of the world population, leaving only a few minor races alive.

After the flood ended, the Elohim created two strong-willed humans named Avalia and Ylgrunda who are known to repopulate mankind and follow the righteous path of peace.

Their children, Radu, Vlad, Anila, and Muotoh, were brothers and sisters born with the task of repopulating their mortal race; either by interbreeding or incest, but Vlad refused to partake in such activities. He was the smartest one out of his entire family and believed there were bigger things to life than rebuilding their species.

Vlad sought otherworldly knowledge, while Radu, Anila, and Muotoh sought guidance from their parents.

During their time together, Radu scolded his brother for disobeying their parents, and they usually got into fights. This continued for many years until they were old enough to be considered adults.

Radu was now known as "Radu the Handsome" by his family, while Vlad was disowned and despised by his parents for having too much curiosity about the world, and not following the Elohim. His parents told him that he should sit and obey their orders, but he refused.

After some time, Vlad left his family and went out into the world as one of the only few humans left on Tellus. He sought knowledge, wanting to learn about the history of the world and discover how things came to be, but he could never find it; everyone hated him for what he was.

Vlad was soon to give up, until one fateful day, he was contacted by the Ultimate Gods who existed beyond the spheres of reality. They've always been watching; ever since the War of Rebellion.

During this age, so much chaos and depravity would eventually attract these malevolent entities who fed off the hatred of Yggdrasil, craving to devour it.

They spoke to Dracula, claiming to have liked humanity and their chaotic ways, thus, they offered him an opportunity to obtain endless knowledge if he brought the chaos of Midgard, which they missed so much, back. So he accepted their deal, and the Ultimate Gods bestowed him Chaos Magic.

Vlad used his Chaos Magic to spread tyranny across all of Tellus; raising the dead, creating an entire army, and even driving the inhabitants of Midgard insane. He quickly earned the title of "Vlad the Impaler", while others referred to him as Count Dracula.

His usage of Chaos Magic pleased the Other Gods.

He was seen as the perfect, loyal servant, and was then given endless knowledge of not only Yggdrasil but the entire multiverse itself.

Eventually, the Chaos Magic took a toll on his body; Dracula's entire nucleus started to change and be consumed by the darkness of chaos until he could no longer live in the sunlight. His skin became pale, and his DNA was overridden, transforming him into a creature of the night.

Count Dracula became one of the first vampires; a descendent of Chaos Magic. It took him a while to realize that the Dark Magic he was using was pure, abstract disorder, from countless other spheres that the Ultimate Gods had consumed.

Every spell, and every magic circle he created were fueled by the chaotic actions of countless other worlds. Their wicked ideas, their wicked actions, and their wicked intentions. All of it was part of Chaos Magic.

Count Dracula was now one with Mayhem.

Many eras later, he created the Kingdom of Nosferatu during the Solidarity Age, and he strives for something even greater.

(Present)

The Country of Odious, belonging to Count Dracula.

It was a land infested with evil; having a dark desolate wastelands, with death and decay all around. Its forests appeared spooky and ghastly, with countless bats and spirits roaming these lands, serving under Count Dracula himself. Large spiders, the size of elephants, hungry ghouls, who feasted upon human flesh, and Wraiths, an otherworldly spirit from Oblivion who wanted nothing more than to consume innocent souls.

Sitting on his throne, and dressed in a long dark cloak, while also retaining many vampiric archetypal traits, Count Dracula was in front of a familiar face.

"Cielero, I'm assuming you bring good news?"

"Why yes, Lord Dracula!" He bowed in front of his king. "I have done what you ordered! Arthur Pendragon is sealed away within the Cocoon of Darkness. Now there is no one in this world who can stand in your way."

There was no change of expression, only a gentle nod from the vampire.

"Good. You never disappoint me, Cielero."

"I do try my best, O' Mighty Dracula, for I am everywhere, and nowhere at once!"

"Indeed, I'm glad to have found such a loyal slave. Now I can focus on our next plan of action."

Cielero lifted his head, placing his hand on his chest.

"And what will that be, Lord Dracula?"

"The Death of Hero Lancelot."

"Oh goodness! So that's what you've been planning?"

"Mm." He nodded, stern as ever. "I was the one who made Lancelot into the man he is today, and with his death, we'll be one step closer to bringing forth annihilation."
