Damon let out a bitter chuckle. "When one person makes a mistake, the others will usually gang up to take them down. But when everyone is guilty? Then the one who dares to expose them becomes the real enemy."
Charlotte's heart clenched. No wonder Ronan had remained untouchable for so long. In a world where corruption was normal, anyone brave enough to call it out would be the first to be silenced.
