In the suburbs of New York.
The secret base of the Skrulls.
Super Skrull, Kl'rt, having escaped the joint pursuit of Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and Iron Man, circled around the outskirts of Earth before returning to the planet.
The person in front of him is Tyler Hayward.
Indeed, in the fierce battle in Washington, Tyler Hayward managed to escape and was not captured.
He no longer appeared in his human form but revealed his true Skrull identity.
"We've been exposed!"
Tyler looked at Kl'rt with some fear, saying, "Mr. Kl'rt, what should we do next?"
"Don't panic."
Kl'rt responded calmly, "Though we've been exposed, humans cannot crack our shapeshifting abilities in the short term and lack the means to identify our true forms, so we are still safe for now."
Despite Kl'rt reassurances, the worry on Tyler Hayward face did not diminish.
"Are you afraid?"
Kl'rt noticed Tyler Hayward concerns.
"Yes."
Tyler Hayward nodded, "I fear that humans will decipher our shapeshifting abilities and that our innate talents, which we were born with, will eventually lead to our downfall."
As Kl'rt confidant, he felt free to speak his mind.
Moreover, his words were not disrespectful but rather considerate of the welfare of the entire Skrull race.
"Even if our shapeshifting abilities are decoded, it not the end of the world."
Kl'rt spoke indifferently, "The Skrulls of today are no longer the helpless cosmic refugees who once faced the Kree invasion without the ability to fight back."
"The Super Skrull Project..."
Tyler Hayward seemed to understand something, realizing the source of Kl'rt confidence, and his spirits lifted.
"Have we succeeded?"
Kl'rt had become the leader of the Skrulls precisely because he was a Super Skrull.
A Super Skrull, simply put, possesses targeted shapeshifting abilities.
Kl'rt, taking Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers, as his model, could not only transform into Carol Danvers but also possessed abilities that surpassed hers.
Kl'rt was the only Skrull in the universe with this type of targeted shapeshifting ability.
But if more such Super Skrulls appeared among the Skrull population, the Skrulls would become immensely powerful.
In the entire universe, no one could surpass the Skrulls.
If we can't defeat you, we'll become you.
And a stronger version of you.
Then, with the force of thunder, the Skrulls, dominating Earth and venturing into the universe, even seeking revenge against the Kree, would not be out of the question.
"Before long, you'll see new Super Skrulls, the Justice League, the Avengers, all the strong among humans will be replicated by us."
Kl'rt said, "We will successfully occupy Earth, and humanity will merely struggle to survive under our control."
"That means we need time."
Tyler Hayward pondered for a moment, his gaze intense: "It still essential to prevent humans from developing the technology to decode Skrull shapeshifting abilities. For now, we must not expose ourselves."
"Do you want to stop them?"
Kl'rt narrowed his eyes, understanding Tyler Hayward intention.
"Alright then."
He thought for a moment and said, "Go ahead, I give you full authority. You can command all Skrulls who are hidden around the world. Since we are doing this, we must go all out."
"Don't worry."
Tyler Hayward nodded vigorously, "I won't disappoint you again."
"Are you sure about this?"
Kl'rt cautioned, "If you fail, I won't clean up after you. The Super Skrull Project still needs my participation, and I won't be appearing for a while."
"Even if it fails, it a necessary sacrifice."
Tyler Hayward resolved.
Kl'rt looked at his determined face and sighed.
"Good luck."
Los Angeles.
Anton took over the continuation of filming for "Dawn of Justice" and invested additional funds to accelerate the shooting process, aiming to finish within half a month.
Meanwhile, the President at the White House and John Kler, who was convening a World Security Council meeting in Washington, continued to monitor Anton movements.
Seeing Anton run off to Hollywood to film, they were baffled.
"What are you doing?"
On the third day of Anton joining the crew, during the filming, John Kler couldn't help but call and ask, "In such a critical time, you go off to make a movie?"
"It a necessary ritual."
Anton explained, "To welcome Superman return and to mentally prepare everyone for the appearance of Superman. After all, Superman is an alien, and the world isn't very friendly towards aliens right now."
"That no excuse."
Kler said, "We hope you would undertake some effective work, as you know, everyone has high expectations of you."
"This is effective work."
Anton explained further, "The more specific tasks, naturally, are for Batman to handle, like communicating with Superman."
"What about the research?"
Kler asked again, "About the technology to decode Skrull shapeshifting abilities?"
"You can't expect me to complete the research, can you?"
Anton replied, "The world top scientists are tirelessly working on it. What I can do is provide the materials and funding. Of course, the Men in Black investigation of the Skrulls has never ended…"
He paused, "I know what you're thinking, don't worry, everything is under control."
"I hope the results are as you say."
Kler hung up the phone with clear dissatisfaction.
Beep beep!
Listening to the busy tone on the other side of the phone, Anton shrugged his shoulders, not particularly concerned with Kler admonitions.
Although Kler was unhappy with Anton current activities, he had no grounds to interfere.
Anton official title was the head of the Men in Black organization.
The Men in Black operate under the World Security Council and have no direct connection with the U.S. military.
The U.S. government might have some influence, but at most, they could only voice their concerns.
Anton had plenty of excuses to sidestep any issues.
Kler clearly understood this, which is why his frustration remained just that—frustration, with no real power to act.
The only forces he could command, the special forces, were useless in this alien-induced crisis.
The real assets were with the Justice League.
New York.
Tyler Hayward, disguised as a member of the NYPD, led a group of Skrulls, also in disguise, into the NYPD headquarters.
Through their investigations, they had determined that Tony Stark had joined the Justice League research team.
During this process, they stumbled upon an unexpected discovery.
As a result, Tyler Hayward and his group shifted their focus from Tony Stark to four little turtles within a special task force of the NYPD.
