The moment the police car drove away, taking Soren with it, I felt something in my chest tighten.
I wanted to scream and rip their heads off their body for touching what was mine. I haven't even had time with him yet and they were taking him away from me.
I was at a loss for words, for action, until my senses kicked in. I pulled my phone out and dialed the only person who would help me get him out immediately, Adrian. He picked up immediately.
"Rowan?"
"I need your help," I said, heading for the front door.
He sighed. "What did he do this time?"
I scowled. "Nothing. The police arrested him over Alpha Cale's death."
"And?"
"What do you mean and? He is in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Why do you think I am calling you?"
He let out a short, humorless laugh. "You can't be serious."
I stopped in my tracks. "What do you mean? Are you laughing at me right now? Is there a reason why you find this funny?"
