Helen Wilson rushed to the interrogation room and faintly heard screams. The doors to these rooms were incredibly soundproofed; without extremely loud cries, you couldn't hear anything from outside. The fact that the sounds were audible was a testament to the severity of the beating happening inside.
Helen Wilson recognized the screams as coming from James Brown, feeling as though her heart was bleeding, her eyes red with fury. Following the sound, she located the room where James Brown was being held and violently burst through the door, shouting, "Stop!"
Upon hearing someone yelling, James Robinson hurriedly stopped the beating. After all, hitting someone here was undoubtedly abnormal. However, upon seeing that the intruder was a young female police officer, James Robinson's face darkened and he asked, "Who are you?"
