Chapter 326 - Chapter 326: The Origin of the Infinity Stones

The Sovereign soldiers' armor was completely ineffective against the sheer speed of the arrow. It didn't take long for Alan to eliminate all of them. Quill and the others watched as the enemy ship behind them suddenly froze in place—then exploded into a brilliant fireball.

Rocket Raccoon cheered excitedly and high-fived Drax.

With the pursuers taken care of, Alan returned to the ship. They no longer had to flee in panic, so he took the opportunity to inspect the damage sustained during the battle.

Quill suggested they find a place for repairs as soon as possible. Alan agreed; they were still too close to the Sovereign. Staying here to make repairs was as good as asking for death.

The ship jumped into hyperspace, vanishing into the depths of the universe.

When they reappeared, a massive planet loomed before them. Due to the previous damage, they had no idea where they had ended up after the jump.

Looking at the planet ahead, they saw vast blue oceans and swirling white clouds. From space, the land appeared lush and green.

Everyone could tell—this was a breathtakingly beautiful world.

"Let's land here for repairs."

Quill said as he maneuvered the ship toward the planet's surface. They pierced through the cloud layer and descended at an angle, landing smoothly. As soon as they touched down, they were captivated by the scenery around them.

The planet was bursting with life, radiating a tranquil beauty.

In the distance, a deep blue lake contrasted with the surrounding emerald-green forests. The sight left everyone in awe. Even Alan, who had traveled across the universe for so long, had never seen a world quite this stunning.

Most importantly, the planet appeared to be uninhabited by any intelligent civilization.

For them, this was a stroke of luck.

Quill and Drax immediately set to work inspecting the ship, with Rocket Raccoon joining them. Meanwhile, the others began exploring the surrounding area.

Alan found a secluded spot to sit and rest with some of the others. As he sat there, he recalled the research he had assigned to Red Queen regarding the Reality Stone and the Power Stone.

Curious, he asked, "How's the progress on merging the stones?"

Red Queen responded, "While attempting to merge the stones, I discovered that they all share a common trait. This similarity isn't just a structural one—rather, it seems that each stone contains an identical 'genome' of sorts."

"What?"

Alan jumped to his feet in shock.

How could mere stones possess a "genome"?

What did this even mean?

He began pacing back and forth, trying to piece together the origins of the Infinity Stones.

Thousands of years ago, the Infinity Stones were once a single entity—a solitary being of immeasurable power. It was the beginning and the end of everything. But in its loneliness and paradoxical existence, it chose to end itself, scattering its power across the universe, forming the Infinity Stones.

By this logic, the Infinity Stones were merely fragments of an enormous energy mass. Even if that entity once had consciousness, it was still just a being of energy—it wasn't a living person.

But Red Queen's calculations couldn't be wrong.

Alan suddenly recalled the lingering consciousness he had sensed within the Mind Stone.

A cold sweat ran down his back.

If these stones truly originated from a single conscious entity… then fusing them might summon an unimaginably terrifying existence.

"Continue analyzing the stones," Alan instructed Red Queen, "but do not attempt to merge them for now."

Red Queen nodded, obediently following Alan's command. She had no curiosity of her own—her only function was to execute his orders.
