Charlotte patted the girl on her head. "Love is a two-way street. You have to give your mommy some love as well. If you do that, I'm sure she will become an even better mother."
The girl fell silent. "Mommy scolded me this morning as I insisted on buying a very expensive doll. She then told me how tired she is, and how her salary is only barely enough for my education. I-I now realize my mistake. Let me apologize to Mommy," she said after quite some time.
Charlotte stood up and waved her hands with a smile. "Go then."
Her smile became wider when she saw the girl and the woman hugging each other. Knowing that they had reconciled, she heaved a sigh of relief. Charlotte then went to pick up her other children. She couldn't stop thinking about her ex-colleague on the way back.
