Shin's eyes remained fixed on the ceiling. He could sense neither Arachne's aura nor Fei's aura, he would've recognized any of them… "Birds don't exist in this maze, do they?"
"Bugs did, it's probably just a rat." Ase looked up with a smile and took a deep whiff, "Yep, it's not a mouse, but it's a large rat. I can tell them from ten meters away. And it just ran away."
Shin was already getting a bit worried. This mansion might not be as simple as he expected. Fei is nowhere to be found and this place is giving him a bad feeling. Since the overgod didn't pull them out that means they still have something to do.
Later that night Shin opened his eyes in a strange dream. He was alone in a destroyed village, standing in the middle of a wedding of corpses. He looked down at his hands, he was holding a bouquet of withered flowers and roses drenched in demon blood.
