Fervor instantly turned his gaze to look at Fiona, whose head was still hanging low to her chest. He scanned her body with his eyes to ensure that she was fine, only to find nothing wrong—which only worried him even more. Fixing his eyes back on Eldric, who simply smirked at him, Fervor had already had enough.
"You have what you need!" he announced, pointing at the folders in their hands, even as he moved toward the door to leave.
"I'm leaving!" he said, already walking toward the door, much to the annoyance of everyone else. They all watched as Fiona instantly moved to follow him.
"You can't leave!" Harriet snapped in a loud tone, stepping closer as if trying to physically stop him.
"We still haven't decided what to do with Lord Cain!" she said, making it clear that he was going against one of their unwritten rules.
