Violet had just heard Uva speak when her eyes instantly fluttered open, shocked to look in front of her and see that indeed Uva was right. Cain's beast, with eyes that had blazed with animosity, suddenly looked much warmer as it leaned its nose into her with a harder nudge than usual—but less threatening than before.
Violet ignored the stench of blood that clung to it and the way the red color smudged on her clothes as she leaned into it with a hug and a huge smile on her face, visibly relieved that she wouldn't be dying any longer.
Henry also stepped forward, but Uva simply continued to stand by the stairs with an extremely wary look in her eyes. Refusing to take one step forward, she spoke with a sense of urgency that only she seemed to feel.
"You should give him the vial now!" she told Violet, who finally remembered the plan as she instantly nodded her head, popping open the cover of the vial with her mouth and about to pour it over Cain's tongue.
