"Return by-" I start to say but stop, as the same sensation I felt from Death, filled and surrounded my body. Like a word about to spoken, Death was just waiting to take me.
Quickly organizing my thoughts, I grab my sister and start dragging her out of the building.
"Excuse me, sir? The tour isn't over!" The guide said, but I didn't stop moving.
"Hey! What's wrong? Stop dragging me!" Jessie says, trying to escape my grasp, but I just go and pick her up quickly before continuing on my way out.
"Something came up, just trust me." I say firmly, leaving no room for response from her, as she quiets down, but I could tell she still had some complaints of suddenly being pulled away from is supposed to be her gift.
"...Where are we going?" She eventually asks as we exit Oscorp.
"Home." I respond simply, making my way over to the closest subway. Eventually reaching it, I put my sister down as I hop the turnstile and my sister goes under before we reach the train platform.
Getting to it, I find it packed as usual, but no problem, that's just New York. But then a sudden announcement comes on, saying how the trains are delayed.
"Fucking MTA man!" I scream in frustration, before picking up my sister again and start leaving. No one looked my way, as such displays are common really, cause fuck the MTA, but that's not the focus. I rush to get out and find another way out of the city, but then as I get close to one of the exit stairs, the whole subway collapses on us.
"AAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!" I scream out in pain, collapsing to the ground, or rather the memory of pain. My muscles and bones, either being cut or crushed by the debris of the station, it came and went in an instant. But it was enough to be instantly surrounded by security.
"Hey! What's wrong?!" One asks, getting down to my side, trying to find some type of cause for my sudden outburst.
"Uhhh, sorry, pretty sure I got hemorrhoids, which I should definitely see a doctor for, so we'll be leaving, sorry again!" I say, coming up with the quickest excuse I could, getting up and pulling my sister to leave. My self esteem did take a blow though as I heard some people snickering about the "grapes in my ass", which honestly? Not cool, I'm sure it's painful for whoever may had it. But I ignore them as I keep leaving with Jessie.
"What's hemorrhoids?" Jessie asks, also hearing people laugh about it.
"Don't worry, I'm actually fine, and I'll tell you when you're older." I say in a low enough voice so only she could hear. But while walking I was thinking of a plan.
'Subway is not an option clearly, maybe a cab? Nah, traffic will be too hard, and a car pile up will happen when everything pops off, what's the next best option?" I question myself before remembering a certain pile of rocks.
'The Baxter building could work, home of the Fantastic Four, though it always seems Doom is able to break in easily and destroy it, it's Doom, and I can only hope Reed at least tries to up the security each time it fails.' Making up my mind, I pick up my sister and run towards the Baxter building, weaving through people, running through green lights, after making sure we'd be able to make it across despite the light. But I still wasn't fast enough before everything started, if the explosions were any indication.
Luckily though, by this point I was able to reach the building, unfortunately, there were Chitauri at the front, trying to break their way in, but it seems like the reinforced glass was able to stop them. Which while great for everyone inside, not so great for me as the Chituari quickly turned, to see me, and opened fire.
Though I wasn't worried, since I have Return by Death, I still prepared myself for the inevitable pain, but then it never comes.
"You're ok kids." I suddenly hear a woman say, with her hand on my head, I turn to her in response, and couldn't help but have my breath stolen from me as I stared at what many may consider the perfect snowbunny Milf in a skin tight suit. But it's only for a second, as I notice the shield surrounding us, and turning back to the Chitauri, I see them all either crushed or in flames.
"So pretty." My sister said innocently at the sight of Sue Storm, or Invisible Woman, to which she giggled and patted my sister on the head.
"Why that's very kind of you, and you're pretty pretty yourself." Sue responded with a smile, to which my sister only giggled.
"Everyone ok over here?" Reed Richards, Mr. Fantastic, asked reaching us in one, strechy bound from the now defeated Chitauri.
"Uh, yeah, thanks." I answer, to which he give me a small smile and nod, before another explosion centers us all back to what's happening around us.
"We've gotta go, but get inside the building, it's safe there!" Sue said stepping away to the rest of the Fantastic Four, before she surrounds them all in a shield and disappear, going who knows where. Not wasting a second though, I pick up my sister and head to the building, as a door automatically opens for us as we approach, which I enter through. Then holographic signs light up, pointing us further into the building. Eventually, after going down some stairs, we reach what seemed like a bunker, where other people also were.
Stepping inside as the huge steel door closed behind me and my sister, I couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.
"Only took 3 tries, but you got it. On the lucky number no less." I whisper to myself, happy I don't got to deal with dying today anymore. Then, time passed. Me and my sister found a spot to sit and relax, though I stood on edge, nothing happened besides some more civilians arriving like me and my sister did. But then the Fantastic Four eventually came, claiming there was no more danger, and everyone celebrated. Some cried together, others instantly going to leave and make phone calls, probably to check on family and loved ones. Me and Jessie? We left to, though only finding destruction and ruin on the streets, eventually we were met with the army and national guard, who guided us and others to transports that'll safely take us to where we needed to go.
It was a long process, and the buses were packed to the brim, but eventually me and Jessie got home, where our "father" was passed out drunk on the couch, news playing. But we ignored him like usual, and I went off to my bed and instantly slumped, not bothering to take off my clothes as the moonlight filled my room.
"That felt... almost to easy." I murmur to myself, but I don't dwell on it, deciding I'd sleep on it, and what my power may now entail. But then, I found myself standing... back in Oscorp...
"WHYYYYY!"

So obviously this ability doesn't work like Return by Death exactly, and it's actually inspired by a Manhwa I've really been enjoying recently called Eternally Regressing Knight, which I suggest you all read, but yeah! Hope you all enjoyed, and deuces!
