Ah Da had been catching finger-sized fish with ease since switching to a new fishing rod, but that didn't dampen her excitement one bit because the fish were biting so quickly.
Sitting until her butt ached, Ah Da lifted her rod and ran over to the fish box to check, five big fish and more than a dozen small ones—she didn't expect such a bountiful harvest on her first try.
On their way back, they released all the fish back into the lake. Ah Da's steps were light and buoyant, she hummed an out-of-tune song cheerfully, the smile never leaving her lips.
Qin Yu lowered his gaze to her and asked,
"Happy?"
Ah Da certainly was, she nodded vigorously and said, "Fishing is so much fun. Next time I'll try a different spot. There must be a lot of species in the lake."
Qin Yu said, "You can fish however you like." Then he stopped and opened his hands toward her.
