Jiang Ning asked Xue Yuantong, "Why aren't you eating the cake?"
To his surprise, the slice of cake he gave to Xue Yuantong during the first class had miraculously survived in her hands for an entire period.
That was truly rare.
Why not eat it?
Xue Yuantong certainly wouldn't admit that she was too full from drinking milk tea and couldn't stomach a small cake.
Wouldn't that make her seem unbearably lacking in poise?
Just the thought of being mocked mercilessly by Jiang Ning was too embarrassing; she absolutely couldn't reveal that weakness.
The side of her she showed to Jiang Ning was always incredibly strong!
Xue Yuantong activated her intellect, pondered for a moment, and came up with an excuse:
"What do you know, I'm casting a spell on the little cake."
"Oh, I don't believe it," Jiang Ning challenged.
"Forget it, let me show you a thing or two."
"This cake is too disobedient; it won't let me eat it."
