Jiang Ning tapped his toes on the asphalt road, mounted his mountain bike, and posed as if he was going to head home alone.
Before departing, he made a point to look down at Xue Yuantong.
Xue Yuantong stood in the night wind, now flustered.
She looked around and realized that the once hazy moonlight now seemed eerily sinister, and it dawned on her that this place was the middle of nowhere!
The cool night breeze brushed her neck, sending a shiver of cold down Xue Yuantong's spine.
'I won't be left here, will I?' The thought suddenly crossed her mind.
Just the idea of being all alone terrified her!
She wished she could shout to Jiang Ning,
'Don't go.'
But that was out of the question, for she was too cool for that, too cool to ever show defeat to the big devil Jiang Ning.
She was proud and noble.
'Xue Yuantong, don't bow your head, your crown will fall.'
In her desperation, she suddenly had an idea.
