Chapter 102 - Chapter 102: Annihilation of a Tribe

As the battle began, Fang Chang immediately activated his "Domination" skill, and the morale of the Sea Spider tribe, which had initially seemed weak, instantly changed.

The two Sea Spiders with cultivation levels above 10,000 years, bolstered by the Domination skill, saw their attributes skyrocket. They were now able to fight two Vast Sea Lobsters of similar strength simultaneously without falling behind.

Even the Sea Spiders with cultivation levels around 8,000 to 9,000 years, nearing the 10,000-year mark, were temporarily able to hold their own against a 10,000-year soul beast under the effects of the Domination skill.

For the weaker Sea Spiders, the Domination skill also significantly boosted their overall strength.

Although they were still vastly outnumbered, the one-sided massacre that had been anticipated did not occur.

The Sea Spider tribe, facing an enemy twice their size and stronger in overall strength, managed to put up a fierce resistance.

The situation at the top-tier combat level was even more absurd. Both sides had leaders with cultivation levels close to 100,000 years. Based on aura and cultivation alone, the Vast Sea Lobsters seemed to have the upper hand.

However, the reality of the battle was completely different from what their surface-level strength suggested.

Originally, the Vast Sea Lobsters and Sea Spiders were not far apart in terms of innate talent, physical attributes, and bloodline. At best, they were considered mid-to-high-tier sea soul beasts.

But after Little Gold evolved into a Sea Emperor Spider, her strength skyrocketed, far surpassing the lobster queen she was fighting. With the additional boost from Fang Chang's Domination skill, she became even more formidable.

At this point, she could likely hold her own even against a Vast Sea Lobster with a cultivation level above 100,000 years.

While suppressing the lobster queen, she still had enough leeway to assist her fellow tribe members.

A water arrow shot out, striking the lobster queen squarely in the chest and sending her flying back five or six meters. The impact shattered the armor on her chest, revealing the pale red flesh beneath.

The lobster queen spat out a mouthful of blood, staring in shock at the Sea Spider before her. Only now did she realize that this Sea Spider was completely different from any she had encountered before.

Her body proportions were more balanced, unlike the odd leg-to-body ratio of other Sea Spiders, and her strength far exceeded what a Sea Spider of her level should possess.

Before the lobster queen could recover, Little Gold prepared six more water arrows. Three were aimed at the lobster queen, while the other three targeted three 10,000-year Vast Sea Lobsters engaged in battle with other Sea Spiders.

Seeing this, the lobster queen panicked. She signaled the three lobsters to evade Little Gold's attack while charging forward herself, hoping to disrupt the water arrows before they could be fully formed.

But Little Gold was not about to let her succeed. She bent her body backward, her ten-meter-long spider legs curving at a fifty-degree angle, instantly doubling the distance between her and the lobster queen.

The six water arrows followed her movement, retreating several meters before being launched like arrows from a fully drawn bow.

At such close range, the lobster queen only had time to cross her front claws in front of her chest as a makeshift defense before being sent flying by the three water arrows.

When the water arrows dissipated, one of her front claws hung limply, with three teacup-sized holes nearly piercing through the sturdy armor.

The other three water arrows struck their targets simultaneously. Although the three 10,000-year Vast Sea Lobsters had received the lobster queen's warning, they had no time to react.

The water arrows flashed by, leaving behind three pools of blood. Two of the lobsters were hit in the chest and died instantly, while the third was struck in the lower abdomen, losing half of its body. Although it clung to life, its chances of survival were slim.

With this successful strike, the pressure on the Sea Spider tribe lessened significantly. At the 10,000-year soul beast level, the battle began to balance out.

The lobster queen, seeing three of her tribesmen dead and her own front claw crippled, glared at Little Gold with a ferocious light in her eyes. She launched a desperate, all-out attack.

As for the lobster king, his situation was even more tragic.

He had assumed that, even if he couldn't defeat this strange spider soul beast, he could at least hold his own until his tribe secured victory and they could gang up on him.

But to his surprise, this strange spider was not only ridiculously strong but also possessed an endless array of powerful skills.

At this moment, a black light flashed around Fang Chang, and three identical illusions split off from his body. The illusions followed his main body as they charged toward the lobster king.

The main body engaged the lobster king first. Just as the lobster king thought he had identified the real Fang Chang among the illusions, he realized that the other three illusions had flanked him from the left, right, and rear.

This was intentional! The lobster king suddenly understood.

But it was too late. The four "Fang Changs" simultaneously erupted with a golden light, and a loud dragon's roar echoed through the sea. Their strength surged in an instant.

This was the Dragon's Blood skill. Not only could the main body use it, but the illusions could as well. Moreover, the illusions' attacks were nearly as powerful as the main body's.

Fang Chang and his three illusions raised their shield-like spider legs and swung them at the lobster king. Unable to defend against all four attacks at once, the lobster king could only crouch in the water, covering his head.

Thud! Thud! Thud! The sound of hard objects colliding rang out repeatedly. The lobster king, surrounded by the four "Fang Changs," was pummeled relentlessly. His hard armor shattered piece by piece, leaving him with no chance to fight back.

The Vast Sea Lobsters nearby, seeing their king and queen in such a miserable state, lost most of their fighting spirit. They began to retreat while fighting, their earlier confidence completely gone.

Perhaps realizing he couldn't continue to cower, the lobster king roared and swung his two front claws, creating a large splash.

Thanks to his "Telepathy" skill, Fang Chang anticipated this move. His three illusions retreated, leaving only his main body, which had activated the "Blade Armor" skill, to block the attack.

Thump! Another dull sound echoed as the lobster king's claw struck Fang Chang's main body. Not only did it fail to leave a mark, but the claw itself trembled violently from the recoil.

Seizing the opportunity, the lobster king retreated a few steps, escaping Fang Chang's encirclement. His eyes locked onto Fang Chang, his claws opening and closing as if deep in thought.

At this moment, Fang Chang's three illusions did not pursue him. Instead, they charged toward the Vast Sea Lobsters engaged in battle with the Sea Spiders, launching indiscriminate attacks.

These lobsters were no match for such power. The moment they were touched by the illusions, their bodies exploded.

Whether they were 10,000-year, 1,000-year, or even 100-year lobsters, none could withstand a single strike from Fang Chang's illusions.

The already disorganized Vast Sea Lobsters fell into complete chaos. They abandoned their fight with the Sea Spiders and scattered in all directions.

The battlefield between the Vast Sea Lobsters and the Sea Spiders was instantly divided, creating the perfect environment for Fang Chang's illusions to wreak havoc.

They chased after the retreating lobsters, acting like three meat grinders as they unleashed a frenzy of attacks.

The original 150 to 160 Vast Sea Lobsters were rapidly dwindling in number. In just a short time, their numbers had fallen below those of the Sea Spider tribe.

The lobster king watched helplessly, his heart filled with anxiety. He wanted to help, but he knew all too well how strong this strange spider was. He had no hope of winning.

As for the lobster queen, after a close-quarters fight with Little Gold, she was utterly defeated. Her body instinctively moved closer to the lobster king.

The two, now a pair of desperate spouses, stood back-to-back, their claws touching. They exchanged a glance, a look of determination in their eyes, and a strange energy began to emanate from their bodies.

Through his "Telepathy" skill, Fang Chang sensed their intentions. His expression changed drastically, and he immediately called for Little Gold to lead the tribe members behind him.

At the same time, he activated his "Flexible Size" skill, enlarging his body to its maximum size. He activated all his defensive skills and slammed his shield-like spider legs into the ground, forming a massive golden light shield in front of him.

The light shield, shaped like an enlarged version of his shield-like spider legs, spanned nearly a hundred meters in width given Fang Chang's current size.

This was the eighth racial skill Fang Chang had obtained after breaking through the 60,000-year cultivation level: "Shield Wall."

It temporarily increased his defensive capabilities, allowing him to block attacks and protect his allies. However, using this skill greatly reduced his movement speed and could only defend against frontal attacks.

This was the first time Fang Chang had the opportunity to use this skill.

Just as he finished preparing, two dazzling white lights shot into the sky, followed by a terrifying shockwave emanating from the source of the light. The shockwave slammed into the newly formed light shield with immense force.

Even with Fang Chang's current size and defensive capabilities, the impact pushed him back about half a meter. The areas outside his defensive range were instantly turned into a hellish landscape.

After what felt like an eternity, the shockwave finally dissipated. Fang Chang retracted the light shield and returned to his normal size, standing up once more.

The seabed around Fang Chang now formed a fan-shaped area. Outside this zone, within a radius of several hundred meters, the silt on the seafloor had been churned up to a depth of one or two meters.

He ordered Little Gold to assess the casualties. The final count revealed that the Sea Spider tribe had lost about a third of their members, leaving fewer than fifty survivors.

Most of these casualties occurred during the final moments when the lobster king and queen self-destructed, and the Sea Spiders failed to retreat into Fang Chang's defensive range in time.

If Fang Chang hadn't activated his shield in time, it was likely that the entire Sea Spider tribe would have been wiped out today.

As for the Vast Sea Lobsters, the self-destruction of their king and queen annihilated their entire force, leaving no survivors.

From this day forward, the once-renowned Vast Sea Lobster tribe was effectively extinct.
