(Charlotte's POV)
The sun filtered through the white blinds, casting soft golden lines on the pale walls of my hospital room.
I fluttered my eyes open and looked around, only to realize Darius was gone.
Where did he go so early?
Just then, the door opened, and the doctor entered with my parents in tow.
"How are you feeling today, Miss Charlotte?" he asked with a warm smile.
"I'm feeling much better," I mumbled.
He nodded and quickly performed a routine check before smiling again.
"Well, that's great. You're due to be discharged today. Just take your medications and get enough rest. You'll recover quickly."
"Thank you, doctor," I replied, feeling relieved.
I hated hospitals, and I was already sick of being stuck in one.
My parents were relieved as they helped me gather my things.
They had arrived just a few minutes earlier, feeling glad that I was finally getting discharged.
