Sanya ran down the road to Qin Zhuzhu's apartment. She had been calling her all day, but there was no answer.
What will that silly girl do? Sanya ran up the stairs, lifting the hem of her skirt as she gripped the railings for support. Reaching the door, she knocked loudly while calling out.
"Xiao Zhu! Xiao Zhu! Are you there?!"
"Keep it down! I'm trying to rest!" one of the neighbors shouted from their window.
"Tsk!" Sanya glared at the neighbor. Then she saw Qin Zhuzhu walking back alone.
She quickly rushed over to her, worried.
"Don't you know it's dangerous for a girl to walk home by herself? What if someone tries to harm you again? Do you know how worried I was?!" Sanya sounded like a worried mother scolding a child.
"I'm fine," Qin Zhuzhu said, unlocking her door and tossing her purse onto the bed. Then she sat down on the rug.
