They continue on the road from the battle, Flint keeps glancing at Twenny with curiosity building up in him. Flint sighs as he thoughts, "She'll tell me whenever she wants to."
Chuck notices Flint's sigh and puts his arm around Flint's shoulder, "What's up Flint? You seem to be sighing out of nowhere while glancing at the beauties among us." Chuck glances at Twenny. "I mean Miss Twenny."
Flint sighs again, "She's a mystery to me, that's all."
"Ohh, so you like her?" Chuck winks at him.
Flint shakes his head, "No, I'm just curious about her. We told her we trust her and we're willing to wait for her to tell us who she really is but….."
"It feels like she doesn't trust us, right?" Chuck glances at Twenny. "I understand you on that point. After I got Information magic skill, I notice among my hidden effects a charm skill. I learned to trigger it and believe me it showed excellent results though I don't want to be liked because of a skill. Anyone I use it on reacts or at least makes a sign, but her. Nothing."
Flint raises a brow confused, "What do you mean? You've been trying to charm Teacher?"
Chuck shrugs, "I only wanted to test it out, beside if she did get charmed I'd deactivate it for her to like the real me."
Flint chuckles, "I didn't know you could be such a gentle….. gentle."
Chuck glares at Flint, "You're mocking me." He shakes his head, "Anyway that's not important. The thing is she's completely immune to it."
Flint sighs, "Then she has resistance to charm."
Chuck shakes his head, "No, this is different. Having resistance will let me know but with her, nothing shows. It's almost as if it bounces off her, literally."
"Yeah….." he hesitates if he should tell him what System DC told him about Twenny, he couldn't bring himself to say it because he felt it would cause division among them. "Well, she's a 5th tier mage so that's something."
Chuck nods, "Yeah, maybe 5th tier mages are resistant to my charm." He takes his hands off Flint's shoulder. "In any case, though we're going to fight monsters. We should try to enjoy this."
As they were talking, Aku was also with Twenny. She walks beside Twenny, "Hey, listen. I know I can be hard on you sometimes, it's just that….well….yo…..you're like family. I just don't want anything to happen to you."
Twenny smiles, "Yeah, I know. You're a kind person, you care about a lot of people. Thanks for that." She gives a fist bump to Aku's shoulder.
Aku chuckles, "You're really strange you know that, that's something boys do."
Twenny shrugs, "There's no law that states it's for guys only. It also makes us look cool."
Aku laughs, "You're really cute." Twenny giggles as they follow the boys.
At night, they set up camp to rest. Twenny doesn't need sleep but she previously use magic so not to be suspicious back in the village. Twenny lies on the floor as she closes her eyes, she spreads her left on the floor to pick up vibration around the area. A screen appears in her closed eyes as Twenny watches a movie while the others sleep.
Just before the sun rose, Twenny sits up. "Wolves!" the others wake up with their weapons ready. A few seconds later, wolves jump out of the bushes surrounding then. Twenny's thoughts, "These things had to come when I got to the final scenes. I'll beat them up as payback." She points her hands at them. "ICICLE SPEAR." Ice spears appear around her and fires towards the 4 wolves, Instant kill.
Flint sees Twenny use invisible runes and thinks this to be a time to try it out. His thoughts, "Spread EP around me, make the EP take the shape of the runes of my will, fire. Group it together, and add the activation rune. Set target, FIREBALL." Runes gather around his hands like a circle, a ball of fire forms and shoots towards a wolf. *WOOF?! BOOM* the wolf explodes in flames, killing the last wolf while it thought to flee.
Twenny claps for Flint, "Good job, but practice more and you can do it in less time. Aku, try making water to stop the fire from spreading."
"Me?!" Aku points at herself as Twenny nods. "Okay, Spread mana. Envision what I want, then activate rune." A water ball forms before her and fires at the fire quenching it.
Twenny claps for Aku also, "Good job Aku, though this is different from what I thought you." Chuck points at himself with a smile.
Aku sheaths her swords, "I know but then I suddenly got the idea that I can shorten the process, I did it and it worked." Chucks points at himself as he stands in Twenny's sights.
Twenny smiles, "That's good, your mastery over runes must have leveled up." Her thoughts, "Her unique Talent is impressive. 4 times the speed of comprehension." Chuck still points at himself desiring attention. Twenny sees the sun about to rise, "It's almost sunrise, let's just pack and continue this perilous journey."
Chuck shrugs and gets to packing, Aku chuckles at Twenny, "You're just travelling on foot, it's not perilous." They get up and continue.
Chuck stays behind and makes runes as a water ball appears in his hands, he toys with it though he has a dejected look. Twenny slows then and gives Chuck a thumbs up, Chuck brightens up as he puffs his chest out and strides with satisfaction.
Twenny giggles as her thoughts, "Chuck is an exceptional mage, I gave him a shield because I thought it'd look cool since I'm playing mage." Twenny taps her chin as she looks to the skies in thoughts, "That was a good idea, right?"
They finally see city Frishia in the distance, Twenny stands tall watching the city with a feeling of accomplishment. It dawns on her, her thoughts. "Wait? Why do I feel like I've done something big just for walking for 5 days? I'm a Calamity for crying out loud, why did I have to walk for 5 days." She gets teary.
Aku sees this and pats her on the back, "There there, see, we made it. I knew you had it in you." She walks past Twenny leaving her behind with a shocked face and her jaws dropped.
Twenny teleports to a mountain far away then she smashes her head into it. *BOOOM* it echoes through the land as the people scatter in distress. She teleports back and gives a bright smile, "I'm over it." She follows them.
Flint glances at Twenny, "Uhh Teacher, did you trip?" They turn to see dirt on Twenny's forehead.
Twenny pouts, "That's something you shouldn't say out loud."
They chuckle then Aku holds Twenny's hand, "I guess you're clumsy too. I'll make sure you don't fall again." Twenny's face twitches as she smiles.
