As I made my way back toward the castle, my feet kicking absentmindedly at the gravel path, I found myself stuck in that strange, restless state of mind where I wasn't entirely sure what to do with myself.
It was midafternoon the kind of time that felt too late to start anything big but too early to just give up on productivity entirely.
I had already napped, which meant sleep was off the table, and I wasn't about to just sit around doing nothing.
Maybe I should work on a new recipe? That wasn't a bad idea. Something challenging, something time-consuming, something that would keep my hands busy and my mind from wandering too much.
I had just convinced myself that this was definitely the best course of action when I reached the castle's entrance and found myself immediately intercepted.
