Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8: THE BLOOD OF THE FORGOTTEN

The world of Ayan is divided into six continents, with each having a mixture of every race connected except for the demon continent called Dominatus. There were different tribes, especially those of the warrior class, and one of the strongest within the human empire was a tribe called The Gentilles.

They were the most feared and still are the most feared warriors of the land. A great war of the empires emerged 600 years ago that marked it the greatest conflict in the world of Ayan. The demons were the most ferocious Empire that wanted to take power over the entire world and claim supremacy.

A group of adventurers, Dubbed The six cardinal heroes of the world, which include a magic swordsman from the Gentilles, an elemental mage who was triple magic user, a fairy who could manipulate the weather, a vampire who basked in the sun, a werewolf that could change without the presence of a full moon and a demon with the kindness of heart, set forth to stop one of the most powerful Demon God and emperor of the demonkind named Dolosus the destroyer.

After a fierce battle with the Demon God, the heroes decided to part ways. The kind demon went to her small kingdom and decided to become a matriarch and fight a long battle with the empress who now ruled all of demonkind. The Mage went back to his Kingdom and established a prestigious magic school that would accept any mage or witch regardless of background and wouldn't discriminate.

The vampire, who was a noble man, was given a domain by the emperor of the vampires and established his army while also giving hope to the vampires that go into zombiefication mode by establishing a magic research health facility for his people.

He was also kind and gracious to his servants in his kingdom. The werewolf decided to continue adventuring while also strengthing her tribe in case of another demon attack, and the fairy disappeared into the fairy empire, especially in the fairy forest, never to be seen or heard from again.

The swordsman who was part of the Gentilles decided to go back to his village, which by then was on the plains of a lush Greenland of the Tamala forest. The swordsman who decided to go on an adventure found out that he, together with his people, were betrayed. Some of the villagers and warriors escaped to the mountains but a group 20 warriors who stood to defend their village were killed but fought bravely and took out 250 soldiers that were sent by the then emperor of Tukufu, Kagale Tukufu.

He decided to build a new village within the mountains, and since then, they have isolated themselves from most human tribes and kingdoms but work together with fairies, witches and also the werewolves who they consider as their brethren. They will work with a few trusted adventures, some of which were considered the most powerful throughout the years.

Centuries past, a treaty was made where Kagale's son, who was the next in line for the throne, made it so that the Gentilles would come in defense of the human empire if another Demon God arose to threaten the entire world. They sill remain isolated in the mountains of the Tamala forest.

So, it came as a shock, especially to Aaron and the rest when Babados came by, emanating Navitas Aura and without even so much as a sound as he moved with pin drop silence and precision. As Asani was introducing Babados, to calm them down he told Babados to stay calm and suppress his Aura or he might make them even more uncomfortable.

"Babdos says sorry for scaring little sword boy and young girls," Babados lamented.

"It's okay, Babados, they were just surprised by your sudden appearance. Everyone say hi to Babados," Asani Proclaimed.

The rest of the team started to wave at Babados, while Babados, being awkward and not having that many social cues due to being alone all the time, started to wave at them back but with a very weird and chilling expression on his face.

This made the group very uncomfortable as Aaron slowly reached for his sword again. Asani then told Babados to calm himself and think happy thoughts. Immediately Babados imagines himself having a full-grown wild boar while smiling from ear to ear. He remained with that expression for the rest of the conversation.

Lydia then pointed out that they needed a light mage which Asani pointed at the teller desk, and Mabel was busy, organizing magical objects, preparing to open the shop. Everyone looked at where Asani was pointing, and Aaron was surprised that Mabel used to be an adventurer. The two mages, though, already knew that she was an adventurer before. Mabel, noticing the sudden glare, decided to shut down the notion of coming back again to start adventuring.

"I'm sorry to disappoint but I took a break from adventuring, and I have a job to do here," Mabel protested.

"But why, we can do it like old times. Besides, it's only for a day or two; it's not like we are clearing the dungeon, right, Asani?" Lydia interjected.

"Sorry, Lydia but I can't go back to adventuring. I still have to help Mr Abedi," Mabel erased the notion.

Then Mr Abedi, who was in his office at the back of the store, interrupted the conversation and stepped in to tell Mabel to join them, which shocked Mabel.

"Mabel, my girl, please go with them, you need the break and besides, the sales at the shop aren't doing well," Abedi declared as he folded his arms.

Lydia then got exited that her friend was coming back and they would go adventuring like they did in the past. Lydia and Ava were overjoyed, except Mabel.

"B..but Mr Abedi you can't be thinking of closing up the shop?" Mabel argued, Please reconsider,

"Mabel, I'm not closing the shop for good, just temporarily okay?" Mr. Abedi proclaimed. I have an errand tomorrow I need to take care of, So no buts and go adventuring with your friends.

Ava, who was hiding behind Lydia, approached Mabel from behind her and tugged at her dress. Mabel then turned to face her, and Ava talked to her in a low tone.

"I.. I miss our adventuring together. Please come with us and teach me new things like old times," Ava muttered as she glared affectionately at Mabel.

Mabel, still reluctant, tells Asani that she will give him an answer later, by which Asani states she only has a day to think about it, and Mabel agrees to the condition. After an hour, Asani bought the necessary goods at Abedi's artificer store, and then Asani gave them the next instructions.

"By tomorrow morning, we will be meaning at the guild underground arena, for training," Asani declared, there I will give further instructions.

Everyone agreed and each left to their respective places. Aaron decided to go to the blue crimson guild house to iron out his issues with Hudson while the girls headed home. Abedi then sent Mabel to go get raw materials so that Abedi could start crafting ordered items. Mabel then left the shop to go fetch the materials. A few minutes later, Akabashi Renji came to the shop with two of his men following him.

"Hello, dear customer. how may I he…" Abedi uttered.

His speech was interrupted by Renji's Aura that was emanating, which sent Mr Abedi shivers down his spine.

"W..wh..what do you want boy, can't you see I'm busy," Abedi lamented.

"Huh! Looks like yer grew some balls, old man," Renji rudely replied.

"I will have you know that I was in the army back during the Kalifa war fifty years ago. Don't force my hand, boy.

"Blah blah blah, no one wants to hear your old stories," Renji answered. Yer need to pay up, it's past yer deadline.

"I will pay you already, I have a new project that will change the game, just you wait, I will clear my debt with you," Mr Abedi.

"Tell yer what, I will reduce your debt if you tell me what Asani-kun is up to and the location of the dungeon," Renji suggested.

"Huh, the server boy? What do you want with the boy?" Abedi inquired

Renji then increased his Aura so much that Mr Abedi couldn't breathe. This Aura was powerful enough that Mabel noticed it on her way back.

"Listen, yer old geezer. Do what I ask or I won't have to destroy yer little shop here, yer hear?" Renji threatened.

Renji then left the shop with his minions, and as he left the shop, he saw Mabel frozen for a while as she was remembering a traumatic past. He then smiled and went past her like it was nothing.

Mabel's legs gave out and she fell as she regained her sense. She then rushed to the shop where she saw Mr Abedi, who is also on the ground, profusely trying to gather himself. She rushed to help her mentor and started to ask him questions.

"Mr Abedi, why was Abakashi Renji from the Kadinali Kings here?" Mabel urgently inquired.

"Calm down, Mabel. I will tell you everything. Just calm yourself, child," Mr Abedi replied with remorse.
