Just as Winter frantically turned her face away, there was a loud crashing sound from the hallway.
The tightly closed door flew open with a bang.
It was Hugo Kang.
After kicking the door open with enough force to shatter it, Hugo was striding into the room with heavy steps.
The moment she saw the face of the man approaching relentlessly, Winter unconsciously held her breath.
His icy glare and tightly pressed lips were unsettling. His intimidating gaze instantly swept over Winter's pale face and Evan's hand gripping her chin.
Blue-black sparks flew in succession over his heated eyes.
The aura emanating from his tall frame was unimaginably violent.
Evan was greatly flustered by Hugo's sudden intrusion.
"How dare that insolent bastard..."
But he too was already overwhelmed by Hugo's menacing presence.
The hand Evan had been using to hold Winter loosened on its own. He hesitantly set down the glass he had been holding in his other hand on the table.
