3rd POV

At a music studio in Houston, Texas, Rosie sat and listened to the song Georgie had recorded.

"Ma'am, what should we do?" a woman approached her.

"What do you mean?" Rosie replied, looking at her.

"I mean, should we immediately sell Georgie's demo?" the woman said while also listening to Georgie's song.

*But she loves me for my twang

Reminds her of a little Hank

When she hears me on the radio, she knows that it's me by the way I sing

She loves me for my twang

Loves me for my twang*

The two of them listened to the song and realized it was incredibly catchy.

"…We could use the song 'Twang' and 'Little Sister' as demos, then set up some small gigs for Georgie, like at bars or fairs." Rosie said, walking toward her office with the woman following.

"…What about the budget? Right now, we can only afford to hire a small band."

"…Hufftt… I'll talk to my father." Rosie said, dismissing the woman. She began thinking of other ways to raise money, but she knew she would need to find additional sponsors. "Hello, Daddy…"

3rd POV

Ever since Georgie's 'act' at the party, rumors had spread that he could sing and write songs. According to those who were there, they had never heard the songs Georgie performed, leading them to assume he had written them himself.

As a result, Georgie became more popular. Veronica clung to him constantly, Tam enjoyed newfound attention from the girls at school, and Sheldon grumbled endlessly about what they had done to him.

"Hey, Georgie!" a girl waved at Georgie as he walked down the school hallway.

"Hey!" Georgie replied, only to get another pinch from Veronica.

"Why are you pinching me?!" Georgie asked, staring at her.

"Don't flirt with them!" Veronica whispered in his ear.

"I'm not flirting! I'm just being nice to them." Georgie replied, though his smile said otherwise to the girls.

"Don't give them your smile!" Veronica snapped, glaring at him. "Yes, that smile! Don't! Put! A! Smile! On Your FACE!" she exclaimed, trying to contort Georgie's face with her hands, making him laugh.

"Haha, stop it!" Georgie tried to avoid Veronica.

"…Kids… hufft…" Sheldon muttered, sighing as he watched their antics.

"Hi, Sheldon!" Another girl tried to pinch Sheldon's cheek, but he dodged her.

"Don't touch me!" he shouted, running away from the hands reaching for his face.

"Georgie!" a male voice called out. Georgie turned to see James waving him over. "…Can we talk?" James asked, motioning for Georgie to walk with him.

Georgie nodded and asked Veronica to escort Sheldon to his classroom. Georgie could tell James wanted to speak privately about something important.

"So, what do you want to talk about?" Georgie asked, looking at James.

"I heard you sing at the party?"

"Yeah, I was singing to wooing Veronica." Georgie admitted softly, then continued, "Hey, are you still looking for a lead singer for your band? How about you guys work for my company first? Of course, we can't pay you much since we're just starting out."

"…You started a company?" James asked, looking at Georgie in surprise.

"Yeah! You know Miss Fenley, right? She invited her friends to start a record label and included me in it."

"…" James stared at him. 'That's… a really lucky Fate you've got there'! he thought but didn't say aloud.

"So? What do you think?" Georgie pressed, looking at James. "It's better this way. At least you won't be performing at clubs and not getting paid, right? You can still look for a lead singer while being my band." Georgie gave James a confident smile.

{That's what my brother said about James Knight and his band. But until now, they still haven't found a lead singer and continue to be the band for My Brother and his Record Label.} – Adult Sheldon.

Georgie POV

After convincing James to be my temporary band at Luminous Records, I headed to class and saw Sheldon already seated there.

I felt just as exhausted as Sheldon and realized I needed help too. I couldn't let my ego consume me and drag me down.

"Yo, Shelly." I said, walking toward Sheldon and sitting beside him. As usual, he sat alone until class started. "So? How does it feel to be more famous because of me?" I teased.

"It's exhausting! Why am I also affected by this?" Sheldon sighed.

"Haha, it's okay… This is still calm compared to what it'll be like when I'm a Country rock star!" I said, making Sheldon cringe and shaking with fear.

"Hey, Georgie!" Lisa sat beside me. I greeted her back but didn't pay her much attention. "I heard you wrote a song for Veronica?" Lisa tried to start a conversation.

"Yeah, she wanted me to be romantic, so I wrote her a song." I replied, though my words were overheard by the other students.

"Aww… That's so sweet, Georgie! Wanna kiss me? Muah, muah, muah." a male student teased, but I knew they were just joking around and didn't want any trouble.

"Cut the crap, guys. If I become famous, I know y'all will use my name to chase girls!" I smirked at them.

Shamelessly, they replied, "OF COURSE!! HAHAHA!"

"How shameless can you guys be!" I said, flipping them off with a middle finger. "So? What is it, Lisa?"

"Nothing." Lisa smiled and held onto my arm. "I haven't heard your song before. Can you play it again?"

"No." I said, ignoring her again.

"OOHHH!!!" The other students cheered, making a scene.

I glanced at Lisa, who looked annoyed and embarrassed. As she tried to stand, I grabbed her arm. "I'm just kidding… SHUT THE HELL UP, GUYS!" I shouted at those who were still laughing.

"I'm sorry, but I can't play that for you… I tell you what, I've already recorded some songs, and I'll give you one later, alright?" I said to Lisa before turning to the rest of the class. "No free tape for you guys!"

"Aw, come on!" they groaned. "Who even wants to listen to your songs, man?!" Some mocked me, but I ignored them and smiled at Lisa.

"By the way, Veronica is my girlfriend, so I hope you understand." I said, looking at Lisa again. But instead of backing off, she held my hand. "…Not for long, I hope."

"…I'm gonna tell Veronica." Sheldon muttered beside me, his voice soft but loud enough for me to hear. I immediately pulled my hand away from Lisa and turned to Sheldon. "You snitchy little…"

Before I could say anything else, Mr. Givens entered the classroom with Dr. Ronald Hodges. "Alright… calm down, guys."

The students returned to their seats, with Lisa still sitting beside me, a smile lingering on her face.

"We have a special guest today." Mr. Givens announced as Dr. Ronald Hodges stood in front of the class. "My dear friend, my former college roommate from the Johnson Space Center in Houston, is here to talk about our space program."

Dr. Hodges scanned the room, and Sheldon raised his hand.

"I know what you're thinking, brother, but don't." I said, lowering his hand.

Sheldon grumbled and put his hand down. "Mr. Givens… please continue." I said, pausing for a moment. "And don't make a self-deprecating joke…"

"…Right." Mr. Givens nodded. "Alright, let's give a warm welcome to my friend, Dr. Ronald Hodges." Mr. Givens clapped enthusiastically for his guest.

Dr. Hodges glanced at me, but I just shrugged.

"Alright, kids, glad to be here… Yeah, we were roommates—one of us became a NASA scientist, and the other… teaches ninth-grade science at a public high school…"

"I think being a teacher is great too." I said, looking at Dr. Hodges. "…Don't insult someone's job. If you want respect, you have to earn it."

"…Right. Sorry, Hubert." Dr. Hodges replied, looking at Mr. Givens. Mr. Givens nodded and mouthed a silent 'thank you' to me.

"Yes… maybe it's more interesting if we talk about NASA's plans after the space shuttle program. For instance, the first manned mission to Mars." Dr. Hodges said, continuing his presentation.

"Of course, before we explore the solar system, we need to address a few small problems. One of them is that every launch costs American taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars." Dr. Hodges explained seriously.

I didn't understand why he brought that up. Did it make him feel cool to waste money on rocket launches? Did it make him feel important as a NASA scientist because their rockets burned through national funds?.

I glanced at Sheldon and gently tapped his arm. "…Go ahead." I said. Sheldon raised his hand. Mr. Givens looked at him and then at me, but I didn't care.

"Yes?" Dr. Hodges said, giving Sheldon a chance to speak.

"If you want to save money, why don't you land the booster rockets instead of dropping them into the ocean?" Sheldon asked.

Dr. Hodges chuckled at Sheldon's suggestion. "That's a cute idea, but technically impossible."

I looked at him, then back at Sheldon. "Why not?" Sheldon asked again.

Dr. Hodges hesitated for a moment. "…It's hard to explain, and the calculations are pretty complicated."

I chuckled and looked at Shelly. "Can you do it, Shelly?" I asked loudly, ignoring Dr. Hodges and Mr. Givens who shook his head to me.

"Perhaps I could help." Shelly nodded confidently.

Dr. Hodges laughed softly. "I bet you could… Here's a NASA patch. Ask your mom to sew it onto your bag." he said, placing the patch on top of Sheldon's book.

"Dr. Hodges." I called out, ignoring Mr. Givens' silent plea for me to stop.

"…Don't do that." I said, taking the patch and looking at it. "…My little brother is a genius. If my little brother wants to help NASA with a bit of 'counting,' they should be grateful." I threw the patch back at him. "I'm sorry if I'm being rude to you… but please, nobody disrespects my woman or my family in front of me."

Mr. Givens rolled his eyes, massaging his forehead, while Dr. Hodges seemed unsure of how to react and looked back at Mr. Givens.
