Yes, a lot of things happened, Blue thought to himself.
Outwardly, he said, "Even if something did happen to me, I'm not actually going to tell you. We've known each other for less than a week. I'm not obligated to report my life to you just because you're 'worried' about me."
The words just kept coming out from Blue's mouth. And they sounded defensive as heck.
After he finished speaking and saw the crestfallen look on Kendall's face, Blue felt like there hadn't been any actual reason for him to be rude to the guy.
He just got way too defensive and exploded on Kendall.
"I didn't mean to come off so strong. I'll be careful in the future." Kendall locked up as quickly as possible, taking a step back from Blue.
"It's fine," Blue simply said instead of taking his words back. Then he opened his door and walked into his house without sparing Kendall a last glance.
