Isla gasped awake,her lungs burning painfully as she inhaled dust through her mouth and nose causing her to cough violently. There was no sign of light around her as she was surrounded by darkness except for the shaft of light which pierced through the ruins of the collapsed pack house.
She was trapped underneath the stones. Her body aches from head to toe as she was pinned down by heavy debris.
Kai.
Her heart skipped as she thought of her son.
"Kai?" She tried to scream but her voice was very hoarse and dry. She wondered if he was still unconscious. There was no way he'd hear her if he was still unconscious. "Kai?"
She was met with no answer other than the screams of pack members who cried over their dead families.
Her heart dropped as panic surged through her veins. The last thing that had happened before the building was Marcus blasting a ball of energy at the wall which caused an explosion that led to the building collapsing. She had thought that she'd die from it.
