The air was thick and suffocating with smoke and ash as Lyla stood at the edge of the collapsed ruins,her hair filled with sand and dust,her clothes were ripped and stained with soot. A soft pulse glowed in her hands faintly as powers surged through her from the blast she had let out minutes ago. Her eyes were crazy as it darted from left to right searching for her prey.
"You better come out, Damon" she hissed as she stalked across the debris the way a predator would. Her feet crunched against the shattered stones and splintered woods dug into the sole of her feet. "Don't be a coward. You better come out now"
Her fists were clenched by her side as she boiled with anger. She didn't want him to die. She wanted to be the one to end his life and the life of everyone who had ever wronged her. She had dreamt for a moment like this. She has spent so many months keeping a fake smile on her face while being treated like she was beneath them.
