Chapter 18 - Dead??

Dad?? You?? What!? Uhm. I am struggling to keep my eyes open, but the shock seemed to give me enough consciousness to realize that my long-dead father is right here in the club, standing next to me and telling me, "I won't waste time, but I'll give you something. You're about to experience the biggest danger of your life, and I am here on demand to give you this. Hold on to it because it will be basically the only thing that will save you." I watched him as he spoke; I could barely grasp much of what he was saying because I was busy wondering where he had been and why exactly he was here when I noticed that I was the only one who could see him. My head started spinning as I tried to stay put as my allegedly dead dad stepped closer and touched me. I heard background sound, and the next thing I knew, a gush of energy was being released from my body. I staggered and tried to steady my body as another wave of energy left me. This time all the energy I thought I could muster disappeared from my body as I slumped.

"You didn't think it was necessary to call anyone?? Do you not know that they are both public figures?? I heard more whispering, then the voices got louder as I shut my eyes tighter and tried to understand the owner of the voice, and as I opened my eyes and was brought back into consciousness, not without the memories of what happened crashing into my brain like the pouring of rain, it was overwhelming, and my eyes started getting dizzy as I held my head still with both hands as I tried to stabilize myself."

What are you doing?? I heard the annoying voice again as I walked past the two men sitting at the corner of the room, Christ knows my head Is pounding, but I am done sitting around waiting for answers or things to die down, I banged the door hard as I left the ward as frustrating sipped into my brain unto my walking steps as I felt all of the agitation and frustration crashing in, I was already running before I will know it, the thought of being seen or pictures taken by paparazzi long forgotten as I ran faster and further into the streets, my destination and purpose being the only thing I could focus on, my head filled with thoughts, thoughts that sent puddle of tears raining on my face as I opened my apartment and crashed to the floor crying and writhing like I was being beaten, the pain I felt could not be compared to anything, not even to the times when I was being maltreated in base or getting punished by enemy clans when I made little errors, or when Adinna chose to put me through torture to make me comply faster to his demand, my heart pounding, body shaking emotions everywhere, I couldn't control what I felt, all my heart and mind could process where the moments I had been hurts physically and the mental blockage I gave myself when that man finally left, with a final hiccup, I went silent and laid limp on my bed, then like a lightbulb has been set on I jumped from the bed and rushed to the bathroom as I remembered the memories I got, checking under the sink from my memory box as I pulled out an old book with the leaf I found a while back from the floor of my room, I could not help but remember the leaf, more dots coming in place, I quickly brought out the golden color old looking book and tried opening the lock that was patched on it, it looked strong but the book itself is old, I tried tugging and pulling trying to see just what I can do to let it out.

I suddenly got the idea to place my hands on the cover, staring at the mirror. Feeling funny, I stood there for minutes staring at my reflection as I suddenly felt a breeze zap the book out of my hands. Orf appeared, and the book was hanging in the air. I watched in astonishment as the book hung there glowing, and Orf appeared this time not looking anyway like a friend. "How did you get that?? He asked, as he looked at me like I had grown horns, Who gave this to you??" He is back, is he not??" It must be the prophecy. He spoke more to himself this time than to me. I watched him carefully as he pulled something that looked like a wooden cloak behind him and pointed it towards me, and as I held my hands in defense , I positioned my body as defensively as possible as he flung his hand into the air and a wand appeared, and he muttered a few words that sent a wind that came strongly at me. It was choking me by the neck as I tried to fight off the wind while Orf tried taking the book from its position. I was writhing and squirming under the power of the wind, trying to channel any kind of magic I was given by that man, as I heard a loud cry and ...
