Jesper finally pulled back, his lips swollen, his breath uneven. For a long moment, they just stared at each other.
Both of them wide-eyed, flushed, and trembling slightly from the intensity of what had just happened.
Then Jesper laughed. It was soft, and breathless.
Subedei swallowed hard, his hands still gripping Jesper's waist as if afraid to let go. But Jesper only leaned in, pressing the faintest kiss to the corner of his mouth before slipping from his lap.
"Come on," Jesper said, grabbing a piece of bread from the table. "We can't let this feast go to waste."
Subedei exhaled shakily, rubbing a hand down his face before letting himself relax. He hadn't realized how lightheaded he felt, how the fire in his veins still burned.
Jesper wasted no time. He plopped down between Subedei's legs, settling back against his chest as if they'd done this a thousand times before.
